Are the ancient arts of editing and proof reading truly dead?

I'm not a snob, but it's hard for me to take any article seriously, when it begins with a typo like that.

I agree with you.

I'm sure this blogger thought he was
fine having spell checked the article.

He needs to either hire an editor or
use a Cyber Editor or look like a fool.

In writing, finding mistakes is the hardest job there is, and in spite of all the work that goes into it, mistakes always show up. It is easy for someone else to spot them, but very difficult for the writer to see them. I have found out that the best way to find your own mistakes is to read your work out loud.
