Liberals have advanced their worldview through countless acts of subversion through science. The DDT ban. The nuclear freeze movement. Global Warming.

We have witnesses the abuse of science for well over a century. And that abuse has always extended to the human mind. Psychology, psychoanalysis, sociology have all been attempts to understand the human thought process, and frequently to alter it. Consider the rise of modern propaganda ...

"We have witnesses the abuse of science..."

Are the ancient arts of editing and proof reading truly dead?

I'm not a snob, but it's hard for me to take any article seriously, when it begins with a typo like that.

I agree with you.

I'm sure this blogger thought he was
fine having spell checked the article.

He needs to either hire an editor or
use a Cyber Editor or look like a fool.

If modern science says it’s true then it’s true. Throughout history modern science once stated the earth is flat, modern science dictated to the ancient Incas to sacrifice young virgins to make sure the sun rises. In the pre Civil War era, the modern science of that time warned about the dangers of RR travel, stating that the human body cannot withstand sustained speeds over 30MPH. I recently went to the Baseball Hall of Fmae in Cooperstown, NY. They have an exhibit of the old Negro Leagues. It was very interesting, surprisingly none of the PC nonesense you would expect. One thing that I pemember they had an exerpt from a scientific journal from the 1940’s. It stated that the major leagues should not be integrated because Blacks are athletically INFERIOR to Whites! This is what the “modern science” of that time claimed. Apparantly, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Elston Howard, Ernie Banks, etc. did not receive that memo.

In writing, finding mistakes is the hardest job there is, and in spite of all the work that goes into it, mistakes always show up. It is easy for someone else to spot them, but very difficult for the writer to see them. I have found out that the best way to find your own mistakes is to read your work out loud.

I hear you and agree with most of what your saying. The only thing I disagree with is that the Incas sacrificed their virgins in the name of science. Before the fallout of World War II, eugenics was big science and strongly connected to Darwinism. Thanks to the Nazi experiment, there has been a big repentance on this. However, the very things that Timothy Birdnow brings up in his article about progressive science could be characterized as a soft form of eugenics. Eugenics as practices under the Nazis was the most extreme form of social engineering and social planning.

I don't totally disagree. Perhaps it's because I have a habit of proof reading, and think that it's pretty basic to creating written communications. Especially if one is writing articles intended for mass consumption.

There is one little funny thing liberals ignore about science is that a theory is considered fact until it is disproved and that happen a lot.

The Incas did not sacrifice virgins to ensure the sun continued to rise. I think several notions are being conflated here.

The Incas practiced human sacrifice, but to a much lesser extent than the Aztecs, Mayas and other Meso-American groups. These sacrifices were generally performed to celebrate important events such as the death of one Inca and the accession of the next, or to propitiate the gods in times of drought, war, etc.
The Incas primarily or exclusively sacrificed children, who I guess we can assume were virgins. They were generally buried alive on the peaks of high mountains.

I know of nothing to indicate the Inca thought this was necessary to ensure the sun came up the next day. That ideology was from the Aztecs, who believed the sun needed to be fed human life-force to strengthen him in his fight against the forces of evil. Most of those sacrificed for this purpose were prisoners of war, who we can assume were probably not virgins.

However, the Aztecs also sacrificed women, children and other groups for other purposes.
