Amy Jacobson claims, as she has a credibility gap of her own. In 2007, she was fired from NBC after she was videotaped frolicking in her bikini with her two young kids at the home of Craig Stebic, whose estranged wife has been missing now for four years. This was cause for her termination because Jacobson, the reporter, was supposed to be investigating Stebic as a person of interest in his wife’s disappearance. Apparently, the lush backyard pool beckoned and with bikini and kids, she jumped in feet first. Later, Jacobson admitted it was a “lapse in judgment.” The Jacobson eventually had “conservative” conversion and landed the co-host position on the 5,000 watt local station, one of 95 owned by Salem Communications and ranking 36th in the market according to October Arbitron rating, says the Chicago Tribune’s Robert Channick.

A case story of outstanding pay back against the media who usually never have to pay a price for what they dish out. This little story in the WATimes should begin to give media the pause they so richly deserve. More coming I hope.

At this quick posting the WAPO story doesn’t seem right. Jacobson was indeed taped with her two kids at a suspected murderers home but and I’m not sure of this but the last name was Peterson the suburban cop with four wives 2 dead, one missing and never found, and his current wife. I believe the missing wife’s maiden name was Stevic.
Jacobson is featured on http://www.560wind.com/ which has a lineup of conservative hosts from Townhall. Recently the station replaced the Mike Savage 5-8pm slot with Steve Cochran 5-7 pm followed by Hugh Hewitt. The station has a 5000 watt daytime signal which I believe goes to 10,000 watts pm
