I guessed whatever totalled 100%.

Yes, I know they have the same value. But, that doesn't necessarily mean they are both the same answer.

Normally you’d have a 1/4 chance of picking the correct answer.
But two of the answers are the same.
So you’ve got a 2/4 chance if the answer is 25% of getting that correct.
So what was the question?

ANSWER: 37.5%
Let's assume that each answer has equal probability of being correct. If I choose A or D, there is a 50% probability of being correct. If I choose B or C, there is only a 25% probability of being correct. There is a 25% likelihood that I will choose any answer, so:
.25 * (.5 + .25 + .25 + .5) = .375
37.5%

There are 3 net choices. Eliminate the duplicates and there are 2 choices. One is wrong and one is correct. So the answer is B.

You're randomly picking an answer out of 4 possible answers, so that 1/4 chance, or 25%. However, "25%" which is correct, appears twice as two possible answers, so that's 2/4, or 50% chance of randomly picking the right answer.
So the answer is 50%. NOT "B.) 50%", just 50%.
It appears you need to answer this question by providing an answer, not by selecting one presented to you.
