It is non quantifiable however.

There's not enough information. Are A) and D) the same answer, or different answers?

Yes, I know they have the same value. But, that doesn't necessarily mean they are both the same answer.

Speaking of statistics, did you know that 4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions?

Normally you’d have a 1/4 chance of picking the correct answer.

But two of the answers are the same.

So you’ve got a 2/4 chance if the answer is 25% of getting that correct.

So what was the question?

ANSWER: 37.5%

Let's assume that each answer has equal probability of being correct. If I choose A or D, there is a 50% probability of being correct. If I choose B or C, there is only a 25% probability of being correct. There is a 25% likelihood that I will choose any answer, so:

.25 * (.5 + .25 + .25 + .5) = .375

37.5%

There are 3 net choices. Eliminate the duplicates and there are 2 choices. One is wrong and one is correct. So the answer is B.

A 25%, B 50%, C 60%, D 25%

You're randomly picking an answer out of 4 possible answers, so that 1/4 chance, or 25%. However, "25%" which is correct, appears twice as two possible answers, so that's 2/4, or 50% chance of randomly picking the right answer.

So the answer is 50%. NOT "B.) 50%", just 50%.

It appears you need to answer this question by providing an answer, not by selecting one presented to you.

None of the above.

0% is the correct answer, but that is because the real correct answer was conveniently not listed.

I’m terrible at this kind of thing, but just winging it, let’s look at it objectively, and consider the most obvious things: A and D are both 25% and together, comprise exactly 50% of the possible “at random” answers. B already IS 50%, but by itself would only comprise 25% of the possible “at random” answers, being only ONE at random choice among the other three. C presents itself as a perplexing 60%, which doesn’t seem to fit any “logical” math of a kind we’re used to when given problems like this.
Having said all that, I fail to see how there could be a “correct answer”,since the puzzle is basically a trick designed to confound you into thinking that random choice
could ever be quantifiable. Am I close? Please tell me, because I can’t waste any more time.

Statistically, it’s a paradox. None of the answers are correct due to the way they’re presented.
