Another OK earthquake at around 9:00 a.m. Central??? (Vanity)

Posted on 11/06/2011 8:04:49 AM PST by melissa_in_ga

Sorry for the vanity, but I have heard from several family members in Oklahoma. They say there was another after-shock measuring 5.7 around an hour ago. Has anyone heard this yet? I can't find any news on it.

I'm now wondering whether this swarm is made up of fore-shocks, since, if this latest one is verified, they keep getting larger.

The whole time we were/are moving (now in week 3) we were saying “we could NEVER do such-and-such without an earthquake brace...” ;)

The one this morning was a 4.0. You probably wouldn’t feel that other than a minor shake.

That’s either 13 or 14 since last night’s 5.6. Isn’t that unusual for that region?

More like the Gulf of Mexico is going to get bigger when Ark-La-Tex+Ok drop below sea level.

I’m thinking it’s revenge, since Oklahoma was the only state in the nation to go red in every single county during the ‘08 election.

Interesting ... the earthquakes in Oklahoma have gone from the average of 50 a year to 1047 last year. There is a buried mountain range named the Nemaha Ridge (sp) running north east. Someone in Oklahoma will likely write a paper on it soon. It is cause unknown as of now, other than the basics mentioned in the linked article We know God works in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform.
