Any wristwatch snob FReepers around?

Lord knows you can spend any amount of $$ for a wristwatch, but which ones in FReepers' opinions embody the best combination of style, accuracy, durability, bling and overall value?

I have one of these. Best watch I've ever owned.

I’m not a watch snob! I’ve been wearing the same Seiko for over 30 years. Brushed stainless, sorta hexagonal case and dial. But the best part? Self-winding. And now worth many times what I paid for it!
I also have the first digital that Seiko imported. It’s gigantic! I should get a battery for it. Just for laughs!

After 20 years of G-Shocks, I currently have a Citizen Blue Angels Skyhawk.

Nothing. They’re archaic. What is the point of wearing something on the wrist that has the sole purpose of telling time? No matter where I am now, I have at least three clocks around me.

My thick watch is about 1/8 of an inch thick. I don't understand the folks who wear watches that are a half inch thick.

I’ve been wearing the same old Seiko Monster watch for about eight years. I put a stainless, Hirsch band on it when I got it, and everything is still in great shape, and keeping good time. I hope it lasts for another eight years.

I prefer a pocket watch with a chain hanging from a vest pocket. It gives one that robber baron look.

I bought a cool 1965 Bulova on eBay for about 50 bucks recently. It’s self winding with a 30 jewel movement. I like its understated looks and the fact that it’s fairly small.

Timex Expedition!

And ... one ridiculously conspicuously cheap-cheap watch in reserve, for bad neighborhoods.

:)

A few years ago, I took a creative writing class at the local community college. The professor was a retired Army lieutenant colonel who'd written several mysteries set on Mississippi River steam boats shortly after the Civil War.

He walked into class the first night dressed like a riverboat gambler, complete with pocket watch and gold chain. He looked like he'd stepped right out of Tombstone or Maverick.

I'm a big time watch geek. I buy watches instead of gold. My all time favorite and daily wearer is an Omega Seamaster Bond edition. Looks like this:

I also have a couple Breitlings (just stainless) and Tags.
