Milton Freidman made Phil Donahue look like a complete fool (mot a difficult task, even then)in this film clip of an interview from about 1980.

It is particularly applicable to todays economy, and should be force fed to all OWS freaks when they finally get sense enough to come in out of the cold....

These are people who have made it very clear that they can not successfully handle life. That is why they are there. Just can’t handle it. They are crying out for help. A sad, pathetic lot. What makes them really sad is that they parade their loser status for all to see rather than keeping it quiet.
Focusing on and whining about what you don’t have is a sure formula for failure and unhappiness. Throw in envy, jealousy and bitterness and you have hopeless losers. That’s the OWS gang.

Milton has been my hero since I was an econ grad student. I was lucky enough to have dinner with him on two occasions and both times I was in awe of his command of virtually any topic. I miss his insights...

Nice. I too have been in the presence of genius, and felt that they were gifted moments. Thanks.

Many of them are not actually economic failures because they don’t have to even be in the game. They can live just fine off their trust funds. This is actually the wealthier class demanding freebies and benefits from the middle and working taxpayers. It is an implicit alliance between the welfare class and the wealthy class to impoverish everyone else for their own benefit.

Thanks! I've listened to over a dozen of the youtube topical videos of him. I especially enjoyed these two: (1) The Robin Hood Myth (who really benefits from free services intended for those in want); and (2) The Robber Baron Myth (a time of massive prosperity, unlike today where there are REAL robber barons in bed with govenment). He's was a clear and articulate spokesman for freedom.

The left loves their "myths" (narratives) which obscure and hide the important lessons of history, both economic and political.
