Thank you Amy. Linda just pointed to the clocks in the kitchen - it’s 11:11am on 11-11-11.
Had to make a trip to ER last night. Temp spiked to 103.9. Tests revealed bladder infection so got more antibiotics. Feel real great this morning.
Oh, and I’m wearing my NAVY sweatshirt, my USS PIEDMONT hat and some “bling” - my dog tags.

Prayers for you DD....I have had little to no FR time in the last 5 or 6 months due to a ton of my own family health issues going on but know that you are in more people’s prayers as of this morning.

I’m late to this party, Diver Dave; but I want to check in here and join in prayer for your complete healing, thanks to the Great Physician! He is Almighty in power and love, and we trust Him to transform your anxiety and suffering into blessings down the road... Amen!
I add that I have been friends for 40 years with two brothers who both had bladder cancer. One lived a dissolute life and died of the disease rapidly. The other has lived in health and a happy marriage, surrounded by children and grandchildren, almost in spite of his tough upbringing. He has survived bladder cancer and has thrived for years now, thanks to his faith, his family and the treatments at M.D. Anderson.
We don’t know what lies ahead for you, but God knows; and we affirm that God will be your Guide and Help at every step along the way.
In faith, we claim Diver Dave’s renewed health and vigor, in the Name Above All Names, Jesus the Christ! Amen!
I hope I haven’t missed anybody who has responded to this thread and I may have pinged some more than once.
My family and I appreciate all the prayers and words of comfort that y’all have posted.
Wanted to provide an update to this prayer thread posted by JustAmy and Mama Bear.
I’ve been undergoing a lot of test over the past few weeks and have one more this week on Wednesday.
On Dec 6th I will undergo my first chemo treatment.
My urologist has shared that he will likely remove my bladder and prostate gland in February. The cancer penetrated into the muscle tissue of my bladder which dictates removal of the bladder.
I’m feeling fine at this present time and am looking forward to being cancer free.
As some may notice my tag line, I have complete assurance that my Savior Jesus Christ will be beside me as we walk through this journey.
Again, thank you so much for all your prayers and words of comfort. Myself and my family are encouraged by your comments and prayers along with all the medical folks involved with my situation.
