Dear RedState.com (cross-posted),
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Larsen. Im a truth lover, chess player and avid political junkie. I co-founded....
OK, here is the point where the mods step in... Originally this Pro-Romney troll went on for about twenty thousand words about how wonderful Romney is and how everyone else sucks. You get the picture. He wrote it to our friends at RedState but posted it here. I take it, probably because he met the same fate there as he just did here. We the mods will save you from all that boredom and just allow you to point and laugh. Carry on.
Same as a camel.
Back from church. It’s a beautiful sunny day here, presently 55 but will get even warmer.
I got the portable roaster oven out and found it hadn’t been cleaned after the last use (Easter? Christmas? last Thanksgiving?). Unnngh. After lots of scrubbing and a large amount of boiling water, the pets love the way my hands smell and the roaster can be used for the turkey any time.
Once the turkey is on, we’ll figure the time needed for other items to be prepared. Tom’s pies turned out well, but there was a spill in the oven, so I need to check it out before it’s turned on again. We don’t want the Fire Department!
Male, female, adult, juvenile?
From a camel to an elephant or a blue whale, I would think.
For sure...and some of those recipes! Whoooeeeee!!
The pies here spilled on the counter, not in the oven.
The turkey is in now, then I’ll make the whipped cream and then the potatoes. Everything else doesn’t take much time at all.
My pies are YUMMY!!!
Even if the overall dimensions are larger, the plesiosaur has kind of the same body configuration as a camel, as opposed to an elephant.
Dig a big hole in the ground. Cover the bottom with hot charcoal. Wrap the animal in banana leaves and place on the coals. Cover with more wet leaves. Add more coals on top. Cover with earth. Drink lots, and come back when you wake up tomorrow.
Oh, I forgot ... throw in some garlic!
We have whipped-cream-substance in the freezer. This is Tom’s first effort at pumpkin pies, but they look nice.
I might make rolls, once the turkey is in.
A trip down memory lane with someone who has bad taste! LOL!
Darn!
Banana leaves? I knew I forgot something.
The dough for the rolls is rising. Tom kneaded it, with interesting results. Perhaps he has an unusual chemical something-or-other.
I’m going to forego rolls. What with potatoes, stuffing and pie, the carbs are well represented!
Right now, I’m wishing it were over. My drains are stopped up, but I don’t want to call anyone until tomorrow. *sigh*
Anyway, the potatoes and dressing are next, then I just have to wait. The turkey is slow cooking...nicely....
Oh, dear ... drains.
I just put potatoes on to boil; now I need to get back to the sweet potatoes, which I cooked and mashed yesterday. The rolls can start baking in about 15 minutes.
Bill is registered for 3 college classes starting in January. I believe they’re all in subjects he already covered in high school, so everything is in place for a Success.
About two years give or take a month.
Of course, there are ways to speed that up. Use an internally heated rotisserie. Heat it partially from the inside out.
We could just super heat the moat and cook it until it floats...
Happy Thanksgiving, ‘Face! Hope it was a great one for you.
Though how you can tell this from regular kitteh-sleeps, I don't know.
Thanks, Sandy! I hope your day was a good one, too!
And now the clean-up begins...I may have to wash dishes in the bathtub. I’ll try to free up the drains, but I don’t know if it will work for long. If I can keep from calling Maintenance until Monday, I’ll be a happy camper. I hate to pull anyone away from family time.
Whoa! Doesn’t sound like you stuffed yourself, yesterday! Your brain is working just fine! LOL!
How is the new baby? You haven’t mentioned her lately. Is she sleeping nights, now?
” Just out of idle curiosity, how long would it take to cook a plesiosaur?
I tried Google, but they were no help.”
Slow roast like a prime rib.....about 4 hours.
” And now the clean-up begins...I may have to wash dishes in the bathtub.”
LOL!
