Dear RedState.com (cross-posted),

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Larsen. I’m a truth lover, chess player and avid political junkie. I co-founded....

OK, here is the point where the mods step in... Originally this Pro-Romney troll went on for about twenty thousand words about how wonderful Romney is and how everyone else sucks. You get the picture. He wrote it to our friends at RedState but posted it here. I take it, probably because he met the same fate there as he just did here. We the mods will save you from all that boredom and just allow you to point and laugh. Carry on.

I have no rolls, either. Maybe I’ll make some this evening while Tom makes pumpkin pie. I have my sweet potatoes ready for tomorrow, just have to flavor the mash and put it in the pie crusts.

If DP had told me the “early” plan had fallen through, I would have gone to Walmart myself. Instead, I’ve been expecting him to turn up. Ash is upset because I’ve cooked chicken and bacon and didn’t give it all to her.

Poor Ash. She is so deprived.

I hate depending on other people. Times like this mess up my schedule, and then I have physical symptoms for the next week. Surprises and disappointments are not good for me at all. (ha-ha. I used to LOVE them...it was the challenge of the thing.)

No sweet potatoes on the menu here. Not enough serving dishes! LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! You’ll probably still be laughing tomorrow...or Monday! At any rate, enjoy?

Ah yes, the furniture does tend to get in the way.
And it gets smug about it too.

I had a Conniption, but recovered when I finally managed to get supper served. I should have let the potatoes continue cooking through all the wait time: then they might have been done when everyone arrived! For some reason, I can never get potatoes to cook, except for baked in the skin. There’s probably a trick.

Ash got to lick the pan, so she got a share of bacon and cheese. Now Tom is working on pie ... disaster awaits, most likely. He can bake, but afterward it looks like a bomb hit a flour mill.

Happy Thanksgiving to y'all too.

It's just Hubby and me. We've been alone for about 15 years now, but that's what happens when you're much younger than your siblings.

We still cook turkey and all the fixin's, yams, peas and pearl onions, and pie.

Face, it's awful to hear that you have such a sneaky, pernicious disease, and it must be so frustrating to have your doctor tell you that he can't see anything wrong. Here's hoping that you are able to at least treat your symptoms and get some relief. You're in my prayers.

Tom had a pie success: only slightly burnt, and the fire alarm didn’t go off. I’m giving up waiting for the dishwasher and the next two loads of laundry to be done and going to bed. No such thing as a “holiday” for Francisco - we’ll be up by 6:00 a.m. If it wasn’t him, it would be pets!

Happy Thanksgiving, and an ornamental Jake to all!

(No, that's not our table, but it could be our cat.)

I don’t know, TC. Sometimes, people need lumps in their potatoes and gravy to be reminded that the cook isn’t perfect!

*hug*

Yeah, cats are not allowed on the dining room table here.

Doesn't stop ours either. They do love a fresh, clean tablecloth. Sigh...

This is actually a really good doctor. Most of the ones I've had in the last 22 years said it was all in my head. I have been humiliated by people who were supposedly educated. I told one neurologist, "I understand why you practice medicine. You don't know what you're doing, so you have to practice."

It has taken me 14 years (since I had to quit work) to find a doctor who whould sign my student loan discharge, but even that has been a Keystone Kop episode.

I've learned to live with it, but I don't like what it has done to me. Dealing with the anger about the whole situation is a daily battle, even now.

"Insidious" is the word I use for the Syndrome. Yah, like that. ;o]

Just out of idle curiosity, how long would it take to cook a plesiosaur?

I tried Google, but they were no help.
