PLYMOUTH (CBS) Hes known as Corvette Mike for a reason. Inside his showroom in Plymouth are dozens of Corvettes, all shined up, hand polished and ready to go.
Except one.
A dusty 1978 Corvette.
But if you look closely, youll see it has 13 miles on the odometer.
Its a brand new Corvette and its all full of dust and thats the way its going to stay, Corvette Mike Milian of Corvette Mike New England told WBZ-TV.
I'm not so sure. I have a 67 Camaro with 34000 miles, almost totally unmolested, with pretty much all service records from the day of delivery and I don't think the rear end lube has ever been changed. I drained it out last year and it looked fine.

I’m feeling pretty good about your ‘69. I never get tired of that body style with its outrageous styling, and I especially like the early ones with the chrome bumpers.
I have commemorative bottle of Dr Pepper San Diego America’s fineness city from 1978. Never opened.
Trade?
No problem! I actually found that thread from last year in my search. Now with the digitalcorvettes link I’m gonna be busy for hours ;-)
Thanks again
The sticker in one of the pkx shows the L82 option. Still a smogger, but at least the strongest of the 350 options. Of course, the big blocks were gone by then.
If it was inside the whole time, fairly constant temps and humidity, it might be OK.
But it’s only a couple bucks to swap it out and put some new juice in, so better done than not.
I know I’ve opened up tools and older small engines from the 60’s and found stuff in there that had hardened ALMOST to the point of being mineral rather than liquid!!
I give up...wifey loves this show; I prefer the Weather Channel my ownself.
It’s the rubber parts that really go to hell.
Probably degradation of the lube is part of the cause, and ozone in the air.
I’m doing a full resto and pretty much every rubber part and seal has to be replaced.
The rubber body to frame mounts literally look like termites bored into them.
I hear ya.
Got a 66 Impala Sedan sittin in my driveway.
Almost IMPOSSIBLE to keep that sucker dry around here!!
