Unless they unduly disturbed the pilot's concentration, or were observed by folks on the ground with binoculars, they're not going to get in trouble. There's no law again "Flying United" in this manner.
There's no law against copulating while standing up in a hammock, either, come to think of it. Or while balanced on a high-wire...
