'Would you trust the judgment of a man if he truly believes he's gonna be a god?' "If the American people knew what he truly believed, they would surely not place him in the highest office in the land."

I don’t like him either. He’s a phoney.
There are much stronger reasons why Romney poses a risk to the US.
Namely, his loyality is to internationalism and he is a traitor to the constitution and human life - a politically correct socialist.
ping-a-ling-a-ling
I don’t care what you post, I was just stating that I’m not following you down that road.
There is way too much to criticize about Mitt Romney to fall into the trap of criticizing his religion.
Not to be taken TOO seriously. The more simplistic the sect, the more direct the desired connection between Jesus and the individual, the more "anti-catholic" it is apt to be. Although Catholicism is a biblical religion, a great many of its religious practices and rituals derive from clearly pagan FORMS of worship. NOThopefully PAGAN CONTENT. This drives Protestants nuts. Always has. For centuries they have tried to "purify" Christianity from "pagan" rituals and practice. I.E., priests, vestments, incense, statues, crucifices, Latin, Greek, Devotion to Mary, the hierarchy, candles, indulgences, sacraments, holy water, bowing, genuflecting, stained glass windows, medals, shrines, relics, etc. with varying degrees of success.
This has naturally led to tensions with the Roman and other Catholic Churches (Note the word "ROMAN" in the title?) The Pope is the "Pontifex Maximus." That same title had been held by Julius Caesar. The Greek, Syrian, Coptic, Armenian, Russian, churches all reflect many of the pagan civilizations from which their adherents were originally converted. The word "catholic," merely means "universal," and it would be a nice thing for the theologically and historically less sophisticated to occasionally remember that all Christianity was more or less "catholic," in content for a long time, although differing greatly in "form," depending upon exactly which particular pagans the converts originally were, and where they lived. Christianity is in short, our direct link to the classical World of Greece and Rome. One doesn't have to like that. One should probably be wary of it. But it simply is.
Christ was a Jew born in a Roman colony on 01/0/0 AD. He was not born in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1927.
The NT was written in the everyday Greek of the Eastern Mediterranean Roman Empire.
Christianity became the official religion of Rome in the 4th C. AD. Temples were converted to churches, as you can plainly see all over Italy. The priests who served the Gods of Rome were probably recycled, too. It's human. It's what happened.
The first Christians of course, were practicing Jews,as was Jesus, and many of them insisted upon Jewish forms of worship in early Christianity, which led to some pretty bitter internecine struggles. THAT'S in the Bible.
Does ritual and ceremony bring one (a) into the direct experience of Christ,
or (b) does ritual and ceremony get in the way? The answer to both (a) and (b) is, "YES."
Religious hysteria on FR.

I wonder why you said that ???
Except for you on #2 no mormon or mormon supporter/enabler had yet posted...
Oh...
Well never mind then...

Ah NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Unstable City
When the Mormons start murdering women and children

Did they stop doing that ???
Garbage.
He will be given his own afterlife kingdom where he will have sexual relations with his wife, Ann, to populate his kingdom with spirit children

Romney believes he will also have a multitude of other women to help him in his sexual relations and multiplying...
It seems outrageous to me that you would dare to compare American Mormons with Muslims.
Hoow do you feel about the fact that the Mormons were bigotted and racist towards the ancestors down to the parents of BFAC and BFAC herself just because of the color of their skin ???
Who said anything about Moslems ???
I was speaking about Mormons only...
Are Mormons hiding behind Moslems nowadays ???
Who cares about his private thoughts on sex relations?? As if you knew anything about his private thoughts.
The problem with Romney is that he may impose healthcare on all of us. But, no, you’re worried about some pie-in-the-sky thoughts he may have (emphasis: MAY) have about sexuality.
Stuck on stupid doesn’t begin to describe some of you.
You are either being disingenuous - or, my fear - don't know how to read posts properly.
If Romney ever displayed Mormon influence in his politics, you might have a gripe. Right now you just look like another hysterical Democrat.
The anti-Mormon issue had been a daily theme at FreeRepublic for years.
It discredits the whole conservative movement, but should not be assumed to be a generalized opinion.
The anti-Mormon issue had been a daily theme at FreeRepublic for years.
The person who posted this article is a Romney supporter.
It’s time to ask some of the Romney supporters who keep harping on the Texas minister’s remarks, to ask Romney to repudiate remarks of a Mormon Bishop regarding the Mormon belief that homosexuality is a sin.
If Romney and his supporters don’t want to do that, they shouldn’t be trying to stir up anti-Mormon sentiment to discredit Perry and some conservatives.
I said that I will fear Mormons when - like Muslims - they start murdering men, women, children -
