'Would you trust the judgment of a man if he truly believes he's gonna be a god?' "If the American people knew what he truly believed, they would surely not place him in the highest office in the land."

I agree. The Mormons I’ve known have been kind, hardworking, patriotic, loyal friends, and honest as the day is long.
“This site is the new home for the religious nuts and the Romney haters. There is more than is a whiff of intolerance up in here.”
Religious intolerance is that, which is currently being practised in Egypt, Libya, Syrian and Iran. It is not the free expression you see here, no matter how impolite that expression may be. It doesn’t lend itself to anyone’s politically-correct strictures.
All religions have wacky ideas as far as I’m concerned. The Mormons are no different.
My fear is muslims, muslims and more muslims. When the Mormons start murdering women and children and butchering dogs because they bring tenderness into our lives, I’ll take a look at the so-called Mormon problem.
.....”and that they, after death, will literally become Gods themselves, ruling over their own planet....”
You have convinced me. Before I vote for ANYBODY to assume any government position of public trust and authority, I now require that they answer truthfully and completely exactly what they believe is on the other side. If they believe there is nothing, say so. If they believe there is something, they must fully describe what that “something” is that’s over there.
FR just reflects the concerns of a large number of people who had the same concerns about Mitt in 2008. There is a reason Mitt lost in 2008 and its the Mormon thing combined with a basic mistrust of his political leanings. Now in 2011 the same misgivings about Romney are resurfacing.
Personally I don’t want the guy because he’s a big govt RINO and will not have the will to do what needs to be done to restore the Constitutional Republic. I’m not wild about the Mormon thing either.
Perhaps you should just post the wonderful positive things about Romney that make you in favor of nominating him for the GOP candidate. Maybe you can change some minds.
My only problem with Mitt Romney’s religion is when he uses it to discredit another candidate AND THE WHOLE CONSERVATIVE movement.
You are falling right into the trap with this post and I’m not going there with you.
This is valid. People will find out what goes on in the LDS church one way or another. Wait till the lib media starts.
Big difference!
‘Would you trust the judgment of a man if he truly believes he’s gonna be a god?’
Well, we currently have one who thinks he IS God.
Romney has issues other than his religion. In fact, as long as his (or anyone elses) religion doesn’t reward him for killing people, I don’t much care what it is.
There are probably a lot of things we agree on. I like dogs, pleasant weather, good NY pizza, art museums, cheap gasoline and good Mexican food. How about you?
I WILL KEEP POSTING ARTICLES AS I SEE FIT, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.
Oh, there’s lots of secrecy.
What a bunch of BS.
I find it bewildering that you think I’m a Romney supporter because I’m not afraid of Mormons. I AM afraid of Muslims. But then I once knew a nice boy who was a Mormon and then lived in London next to a deeply frightening Muslim. Helps with perspective.
I think Romney should have gotten that job on The Price is Right back in 2008. To me, he’s always looked like a game show host.
Cheap gasoline! I remember that!
Yes, and maybe one day I can change your mind on certain movie stars.
You take care!
Interesting article. Mormonism is a cult.
Looking at Mormon politicians like Harry Reid, he seems to be about as faithful as the Kennedy’s are to the Catholic Church and the Pope. I remember when people were afraid to vote for Kennedy because Catholics loyalty belonged to the Pope. Now I think our country would be better if all Catholics were faithful Catholics!
No, Reid and Kennedy prototypes worship at the feet of liberal causes and groups and re-election.
Meh, I’ve known a lot of Mormons and they’ve all been good family folks and great people with conservative values. While I agree Mormons are not really Christians, I will let God sort that out.
I couldn’t care less if Mitt is a Mormom, nor would I care if he worshiped a giant earthworm God. What matters to me is Romney is not really a conservative. He’s better than Hussein by far, but still not really a true conservative.
Good. Put on your flak jacket. Some truth people don’t like. :)
His just being Mormon isn’t a problem for me. But I’d like to know - does he really believe the Mormon doctrines, or is he just a nominal Mormon? A nominal Mormon would not raise concerns for me. Romney, however, presents an array of secular concerns too. So it’s moot for me.
