***I Read Today That Two Of Sarah Children Didn't Want Her To Run***(VANITY)
Stardate: 1110.7

She should have taken those kids to a military Hospital so they could see those who decided that even though they also loved their children, they understood that their duty was to our nation and the millions of people who depend on them....
Sacrificing for the country is taking care of your kids......a leader goes places where others are not sure where to go.....and I hear in Sarah's voice in the Bob and Mark show how MUCH she wanted to run....
If Sarah had entered she would have gotten $50 million dollars the first day, or more.....
Sarah should re-examine her decision and change her mind for our America...her kids will understand later.....

The gay community is proof that a small minority can make enough noise to thoroughly turn people off. AEMILIUS PAULUS’s point stands.

I read all the way to the end of the Internet this morning and saw no such thing. Who cares? She’s not running. It’s over. Forget about it. Who do you now support for president?

I don't remember that but I'll take your word that you do. I do recall that she was reported to have made some remarks about Perry and Cain which were interpreted as sure signs she would enter the race but with today's press who knows what she in fact said and in what context.
Anyway, unless and until she does make an endorsement prior to the convention it's the same kind of hot breath speculation that has left a few of our fellow Freepers feeling bereft. I still admire and respect the lady but am moving on. It's her life.

Mr Jess, this is an open forum. Nobody around here minds their own business. If that was the case, FR might as well shut down.
I suggest YOU mind your own business and grow up. You are not the boss here. Thank goodness for that.
I don’t give a rats behind who was hurting. The majority of them picked themselves up by the bootstraps and decided to keep their eyes on what is really important.
Palin made up her mind. Show respect for her decision and leave her alone to chart her course.

1. Cain - Enthusiastically.
2. Bachmann - OK
3. Perry - Probably Not Ever
4. Mitt, Huntsman - NEVER!

I try to imagine my dad making a career decision based on a family vote. Did your dad ever hear a network talk show host make rape jokes about you when you were 14?

if youbsaw the video last week of Bristol being confronted in north Hollywood... youd understand her thinking. that loon was a half step from knifing her
Exactly. And with 3 Palin children being vulnerable to such hate filled attacks and the knowledge that the attacks were only to get more intense what rational decision is there for a parent to make? Bullying has become the main weapon of the libtard movement.

I agree, Seahawkfan, that she will probably support Herman Caine and they agree with each other on values. That family has taken enough grief and the children don’t relish a trip to live in the White House for 4 years-and probably Todd would be most unhappy. She has a brillant future and when her children are all futher along the way, she will have many opportunities for political activity and she will be a wonderful voice in this coming election.

Not surprising. Despite the fact that the Obama kids have been off-limits (as they should be), the Palins would have been put through the ringer (worse than they have been). And I sure that would lead some of the fringier elements to attack the Obama girls. And then the blatant double-standard reporting would focus and that and call the GOP racists and demand Palin denounce it and distance herself from it.

It’s her life and her decision.
I’m sure she put a lot of thought into it.
It’s time to move on and to focus our efforts on defeating Obama.
As for Palin, my feeling is that she will focus on ridding the GOP of RINOs and corruption before throwing her hat in the ring, as the current GOP does not share the same beliefs as she does, thus she wants to get rid of the Status quo before making a run.
Or maybe the toll of living under a microscope for the past 3 years and the constant media attacks took a toll and she didn’t wish to subject herself and her family to them for another 4-8 years.
Here’s how the MSM would “report” on a Palin Presidency:

I don’t blame them for not wanting their Mom to run. The “media” would’ve gone even further into overdrive harassing them 24/7.

Maybe that was just a story for the public. Maybe the threats against the entire Palin family reached a level where it was too dangerous to continue with a campaign. The thing is that you don’t know all of the reasons and those who do know aren’t going to talk about it.

We've heard the same line ad-nauseum, a lot of times from Perry Supporters who twist themselves into Pretzels to ignore his horrible record on Immigration, Guardisil, TTC, Hate-Crime Laws, etc. I've seen more evidence of the behavior you attribute to Palin supporters from Perry supporters.

I'm one of those "Palinistas",and proud to admit it..and it broke my heart when she announced she wasn't running.I was so let down.
But i'm also a rational and reasonable person, and realize that if she feels she'll be more effective behind the scenes for now, that's good enough for me. After all,she has been through a lot since she came to the spotlight in 2008,and to decide whether or not to run for the most important office in the world is a HUGE deal.
She remembers what she had to endure in AK with the ridiculous ethics fiasco, and what effect that must have had on not just her,but her husband and children,as well as their livelihood. She knows how much she's admired, but she also knows how much the left hates her.I completely understand her decision, though I still wish she would have run.
When she feels the time is right, she'll get in and her base-including me-will be right behind her.
