Perry for President Ping
Perry is not viable nor a truth of conservatism.
This I know and will make it my year's work to assist in the effort that neither Perry nor Romney is our nominee.
Understand, and while Perry is not my first choice, I would gladly crawl over broken glass to vote for him if the alternative is 4 more years of BHO.
In Texas R-i-n-o’s pile their Bull higher and smoother.
You betcha! Perry #1
Perry may be the best we can hope for with my preferred candidate now taking herself out of contention, but you do realize that with Perry we’ll be throwing away one of the GOP’s best potential issues in 2012: crony capitalism. Whatever Ricky’s other good points, he has a dismal record of throwing Texas taxpayer money at big-money supporters, and the dems oppo research people will be pouring this stuff into the ears of a compliant media during the upcoming campaign.
On too many other issues, Perry is way too much like Bush. I could almost hear “compassionate conservatism” oozing from his mouth on his comments of the Texas Dream Act.
I’ll hold my nose and vote for him if I have to in 2012, but if he’s way ahead (or way behind) in the polls going in to election day, I’m writing in Palin.
A lot of FReepers were perma banned for the same thing.
Not good.
Perry/Rubio!!!
Well, he was a traitor to the democrats....who’s to say he won’t drag their stink with him.....
I agree with her. Now is not the time for another inexperienced President.
The last thing we need is someone that will “compromise” with the Dums on Spending and let the Agencies continue to issue Regs without any oversight.
CongressCritters don't run Congressional districts.
They exploit them.
I think more highly of Cain because he has not drunk the career politician Kool-Aid.
If he’s going to be ‘the man’ we have to WORK for it .
Persuade and educate..........& contribute

i don’t recall that in the Bible...
“Christ will return when he sees fit. “

I think even he doesn’t decide, but the Father does...
still, i’ll admit, your’re probably a better Christian than me.
so why, WHY, would you support an “evangelical” like Perry, who:
praises Islam,
quotes approvingly from the Quran,
signs Halal meat bills allowing the sacrifice of animals in the name of Allah,
gets endorsed by Texas members of C.A.I.R.,
builds Islamist Gulen schools, with taxpayer money,
allows a Sharia Court to function in Texas
(referenced in a thread this week on F.R., WITH ADDRESS!).
...why?
ANY true Evangelical, can tell you, that Jesus himself warned of false prophets (Muhammad), and Satan can appear as an “angel of light” (the Angel appearing to Mo, in the cave). And the Bible says, another religion, will become most numerous, before Christ returns. Islam.
Islam IS the religion of Satan. it was Satan appearing as an angel of light, who gave the Quran to Mohammad.
...ANY true evangelical can tell you all that.
Franklin Graham can tell you that.
...but Governor Perry won’t.
I like his stance on gun control “ use two hands”
That libertarian streak must be a mighty thin one if you are so fired up about Perry!
Perry strikes me as just another sleazy career politician who will say and do whatever is politically expedient. I put Romney, Gingrich and Paul in this same category. Who does that leave? Cain?
The one positive I can say about Perry: he didn’t go to an Ivy League Law School.
The fact that Perry helped defund Planned Parenthood with a resulting four PPs closing their doors is another example of how Perry gets the job done.
This passage from Melissa is the one I kept going back to:
Governor Perry directly took on the fraud and abuse which meant taking on the trial lawyers association. In one day after the law was passed,...the shysters lost the whole scam. It was beautiful to behold.
And then, this last year, Governor Perry pushed through loser pays on lawsuits. I cannot even tell you how much lawyers in Texas hate Rick Perry. And its one reason I love his record. Its also a reason, theyll fight tooth and nail against him nationally.
Imagine a President who would take on trial lawyers! The cost of doing business in our country could improve considerably. What we pay for products and services could be reduced. Companies unshackled from oppressive insurance burdens and legal expenses could expand and hire!
