White powder sent to 'Dancing with the Stars' studio

Authorities responded Wednesday to the CBS Television Studios in the Fairfax district after a white powdery substance was found in a letter addressed to "Dancing with the Stars," one of the shows filmed there. The call came out about 3:30 p.m. at the CBS studios in the 7800 block of Beverly Boulevard. The substance was determined be harmless after being examined by the Los Angeles Police Department's hazardous materials personnel. It is the second time in as many months that a letter containing an unknown powder was sent to the studios. Earlier, a similar substance was found in a threatening letter sent to late-night host Craig Ferguson. The substance turned out not to be a threat. Ferguson made light of the incident on Twitter. "Finally some office drama that isn't about Craig's hair! FYI: The hair is hot. Anthrax scare, not so much," he said.

This is certainly a publicity stunt to draw more viewers to a failing program after one contestant, who can't figure out what gender SHE is, was placed into the shows line-up. I'm still not watching.

Turns out it was powdered sugar from all the donuts Chaz was eating.

Something weird about Chaz still even being on the show. Terrible dancer, and one of the lowest scoring contestants. But “somehow” keeps coming back every week. There can’t be THAT many transgendered viewers out there. Plus they already have a gay contestant, so it’s not like the “haters” are having their way.

With the way the voting is set up, the Chaz voters can give her multiple votes and those who want to reward the better dancers spread out their votes. As the season progresses, she will move down. The judges were much to generous this week with two sixes and a five. She should have gotten threes.

Overall, the stars this season are pretty weak.

It’s more of a popularity contest than a talent one. Nothing wrong with anyone voting for him....he seems like a nice humble person and had some bad luck with a bad knee....
