WASHINGTON
Who would you put on a stamp? Charlie Sheen? Lady Gaga? Yourself?
Hoping to boost sagging revenue, the U.S. Postal Service on Monday abandoned its longstanding rule that stamps cannot feature people who are still alive and is asking the public for suggestions.

I hope a lot of conservatives take the initiative and have some Sarah Palin stamps made, just for show and in no means a legal postage stamp, just something like pepper in the eyes for the crony capitalists and liberal elites.
But she will have her own postage stamp I believe.

SeeBS (don’t ask, she wants to watch it and I must endure) this AM had several suggestions: Warren Buffett, Barack Obama, and Barbara Streisand. They were gushing over the prospects. I’m going to buy a “return to sender” inkstamp.

Fox just showed a Sarah Palin postal stamp, I bet there is still an echo across America of heads exploding!

The technology is available to allow people to put their own faces on stamps. It would be fairly easy to uplode an imagine of ones-self, or anything else for that matter, and then hit the ‘order stamps’ button. They could arrive in the mail the next day. Vanity stamps could be sold for a little extra, thereby saving the Post Office. And you’re welcome...

I would have no issues with sponsored stamps. If companies played it right, they could feature retro logos as an exploration of the history of their company or the art of marketing. Heck, why not offer a nickle discount for a sponsored stamp....
NASCAR sponsors? NFL helmets? New fall TV shows? New movie releases? I don’t care.

Indeed. The post office needs money and this would be a way to raise some cash.
But no matter what the post office is going to have to find some way to deliver mail without tons of paper except for those willing to pay the full cost of its delivery.
