The Door is Wide Open (Palin's opportunity)
C4P ^ | 9-24-2011 | Doug Brady

After Thursday night’s debate, it’s more clear than ever that the door is more than cracked: It’s wide open. The two so-called frontrunners are both fatally flawed candidates. Mitt Romney is so utterly unmoored by anything approaching conservative convictions or, let’s face it, any convictions at all (other than his desire to be president) that it’s impossible for him to speak on an issue without contradicting the multiple positions he’s taken. Rick Perry, it’s increasingly clear, has his own issues and is simply not ready for prime time. William Kristol, after watching Thursday night’s “debate”, had one word to describe the current GOP field: “Yikes“:

I wish she would make up her mind. The only one out of the current field I could support is Cain, and unless something changes, he stands the proverbial snowball's chance.

Didn't Gov. Palin say if there weren't any strong candidates, she'd jump in? Okay, Sarah...now's the time.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

I’m sort of leaning towards, ‘Yikes’ at this point, too. It takes me a while to make up my mind on these things...

The Rick and Mitt show has been officially cancelled. We The People are standing up and shutting off the mess.

Hate to tell you but Herman Cain won the Florida Straw Poll by a huge margin. Sarah won't be getting in now, she'd be stepping all over Herman and I seriously doubt she would do that. She does need to help him raise some money though, and I'll bet she'll be glad to do that.

She said she wouldn't get in if there was a strong conservative candidate, and Herman is that strong conservative.

Palin is not a serious candidate.

If she was, after the last election she would have gone back to Alaska, surrounded herself with foreign policy experts, boned up on domestic policy, and finished her term as Governor.

Myself, I'm a fan, but I have grown weary of all too cutesy fan dance ala Sally Rand.

It has turned into the political equivalent of a giant tease.

But he comes with a 999 plan that will be rejected by voters because they were already screwed with Obamacare.
I think the 999 would be too scary.

Oh, I don’t know about that. It seems to appeal to the Florida voters. Who knows, with money and organization he could go all the way. He creamed a candidate that has been running for 6 years and he took almost all of Bachmann’s votes (did you see how few votes she got???)

Huge flaw in it, too, in that he doesn’t shut down other forms of taxation first. Too many ways to increase taxes under a tax and spender.

Right! Two years as Alaska guv is not sufficient experience to be POTUS.

Whoever wins is going to inherit a big mess and she is totally unqualified to do it, IMO,

Bachmann was a non participant in the event. She didn’t show, speak, etc.

Hmmm. Palin / Cain instead of my Palin / Mulally....

I could live with that, let Herman the business man like Mulally, take a look @ all the books, process flow, fish-bone charts, and hierarchical structures of every Department and Branch of Fedzilla.

My guess he would recommend a 40 to 50% cuts damn near everywhere...

I wish she would throw her hat into the ring.

At least, I can put my signature line to good use.
