CBC ^ | Sep 16, 2011

Two drivers received minor injuries after running into moose on the Outer Ring Road outside St. John's Friday morning.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a pickup truck hit two moose. Then a sport utility vehicle that had been following the truck hit one of the animals.

The accident happened in the eastbound lanes between Topsail Road and Thorburn Road.

Meanwhile, the RNC also said a vehicle hit a moose on the Southern Shore highway, south of St. John's, on Thursday evening. The driver sustained minor injuries.

My Dad was driving with a bunch of friends up to Ontario for a fishing rrip in the 1960s, they were in a Plymouth Station Wagon, one of those with the big fins, and they hit a moose and totalled the wagon. Big heavy car demolished.

Mythbusters has a great episode about hitting mooses. Oops, meeses. Ok, spell check tells me those two are wrong, but gives no suggestions for the plural of “Moose”

Were the drivers in the pickup and SUV, perhaps sisters?

Now we know why fanfan has been quiet, she's been building an invincible army of moose.
May I have some shipped to me, please?

You already have your army of lederhosen-clad gnomes.

Much scarier than a band of cute, furry mooses.

Hitting a moose is no worse that hitting a brick wall on stilts.

Moose is the plural of moose. It’s from a Natice American language.
