Any Dish TV subscribers having problems with getting the signal? I've lost the signal on all my TVs and resetting the smart card is not working. I live in SOCAL. Just wondering if this is a local problem only. Tried to contact Dish TV but the lines are jammed. Thanks.
OK, I’ll keep trying. Thanks.
Oh yeah.......we have HD and after a couple of hours we’ve decided that one or more HD sattelites are out.......we can’t reach Dish either. We’re watching regular Dish....not Dish HD.

Did you check to see if something fell on the dish and knocked it out of alignment? Like a tree branch?
We lost signal on all of ours too but it came back. We do not have HD.. We are in N. GA.

If your Dish Network-connected TV is claiming total signal loss, then at least take comfort in the fact that you’re not alone. While the company hasn’t revealed exactly what the problem is, Facebook and Twitter posts indicate a “technical issue” with satellite location 129. The really bad news comes when we learned that bird is responsible for carrying many HD channels and HD locals (check the links below for a list of all channels on 129). Switching over to SD channels will let you watch (if that can really be called watching TV) most content in the short term — DBSTalk posters advise hitting menu and selecting 1 on your remote to pull up the guide if you’re having trouble. If you currently hide standard-def channels, press menu, then 8, then 1 and uncheck the “HD only” box to see the working channels for now. We’ll keep checking for any updates on the situation, but for now you’re on your own in a 480-line wilderness, so good luck.
I posted and article and it was pulled by a snarky adminHD satellite is out; failed
ok, GOOD...MY Dish used to go out sometimes for a few when it was raining or something...rebooting the card never helped. Since then I switched to AT&T Uverse cuz I got a better deal...phone and fax lines, DSL with wi-fi (guests can just connect up their own laptops), and tv, all for $108. Not that that helps anything, lol
Your post might have been left to stand had it had a link to more information and if it were not posted to breaking news...
Hmmm? Wonder if that was the same mod that pulled the no panties post from the Miss Universe contest, after the same post had a long run on the previous day.
A couple of months ago, I lost my cable TV signal. I finally got hold of customer service. They said I had to turn the box off for 30 minutes to allow the system to reset itself.
That resolved the problem.
It sure is not Gossip !!

Everything you need to know is after the comma... should be self evident.

Folks at home use an OTA antenna. Deep fringe thing. Picks up thirty-six channels, all HD. No fees, no outage, unless the TV station is using a satellite feed. Nothing else worth watching. A friend had loaned us his receiver box once to see if it was worth the hundred or so bucks a month. Nine hundred ninety-nine channels and nothing worth watching.
Dish was out here (western So. Dak.) for about three hours.
Customer service lines were all busy, as was the website.
Our local cable guy told us that the satellite was down.
Came back on about 90 minutes ago.
