A wilderness and ecology guide believes Bigfoots by the dozen could be roaming the wilderness of southern Alberta and parts of British Columbia.
Todd Standing says he has photographic proof that such creatures exist after snapping a photo of something in the Banff area with human-like features on its hairy face.

Well, that settles it.
That’s not a big “foot.”
The no bones argument is not a good argument for defending their nonexistence. Here in Washington we have a black bear population of 30,000 or more. But you are not going to find bones of a naturally killed bear. There has even been a challenge to find bear bones by the director of physical anthropology at Washington State University. None has been brought back to him. Now if there was 1 Bigfoot for every 100 bears, what kind of odds do you think that would be if running into bigfoot bones? We also have a small population of Grizzly Bears supposedly moving back into the Okanogons. Yet other than one cell phone photo no other evidence exist that the Grizzlys are back.
Area is too built up to sustain a primitive form of life (except for Democrats or their Canadian equivalents, the NDP reds).
As an avid hunter, I have hunted in Montana, North Dakota, several states that include the Rockies. I have hunted in Alaska and NW Canada. I know Grizzly bones when I see them.
Although I don’t hunt bear, I hunt in bear country and am familiar with bear bones. They do die, after all.
Also, the soil here is extremely acidic due to the evergreen trees. Bones in the wild simply do not last that long.
I’ve dug up like small bones and skulls from small animals doing gardening in my backyard (which 20 years ago was second growth forest) and ALL bones you find are in an advanced state of decomposition.
They would make great lineman in the NFL.
I've never seen a cougar...nor a wolf....or a wolverine...I guess they don't exist....
but I saw a lynx....once....
Here’s what Buffalo Bill Cody said in his autobiography:
“AN INTERESTING INDIAN TRADITION
While we were in the sand hills, scouting the Niobrara country, the Pawnee Indians brought into camp, one night, some very large bones, one of which a surgeon of the expedition pronounced to be the thigh bone of a human being. The Indians claimed that the bones they had found were those of a person belonging to a race of people who a long time ago lived in this country: That there was once a race of men on the earth whose size was about three times that of an ordinary man, and they were so swift and powerful that they could run alongside of a buffalo, and taking the animal in one arm could tear off a leg and eat the meat as they walked. These giants denied the existence of a Great Spirit, and when they heard the thunder or saw the lightning they laughed at it and said they were greater than either. This so displeased the Great Spirit that he caused a great rain storm to come, and the water kept rising higher and higher so that it drove those proud and conceited giants from the low grounds to the hills, and thence to the mountains, but at last even the mountain tops were submerged, and then those mamnoth men were all drowned. After the flood had subsided, the Great Spirit came to the conclusion that he had made man too large and powerful, and that he would therefore correct the mistake by creating a race of men of smaller size and less strength. This is the reason, say the Indians, that modern men are small and not like the giants of old, and they claim that this story is a matter of Indian history, which has been handed down among them from time immemorial.”

Chapter 15
I’m from British Columbia, originally from Saskatchewan now in America. The Pac Northwest territory is huge and driven through it so many times in the past 20 years, even since high school, but just like the Cascades, I heck always pray that I don’t get stuck close to the forest at night. Sometimes your eyes just play tricks on you late at night.
Sounds like the giants of the bible. The nephilim.
I live in the cascade foothills of western Washington for 30 years.
Never saw a bear in the wild. Done all kinds of fishing and hiking, spent multiple weekends at White River campground on Mt. Rainier, which for all intents and purposes is the bears Cabo San Lucas.
Seen their tracks plenty of times, but never saw one during the daylight.
Tracks, seems to me, are very credible evidence of something.
“Dude I was just sitting on my easement playing with my pet frog when all in a sudden I seen this here bigfoot guy. I tell yah, he was real! Just as I lowered my bottle of jack, I saw him takin’ a shi...”
It's odd that they were all the same.
from small animals doing gardening in my backyard
Now why were these small animals doing gardening in your backyard? And what killed them?
Weird and strange ping :)
I have lived in the deep back woods for whole seasons. Not as well traveled as you, But I have been all over this particular part of MT...
Although I dont hunt bear, I hunt in bear country and am familiar with bear bones. They do die, after all.
I didn't say they aren't there - just very rare. A viable Sasquatch population is likely to be far smaller than the bear population - even smaller than Griz alone among the bear pop. Therefore, just by the statistics, finding Sasquatch remains would be infinitely less likely... And finding bear or wolf, or even moose is not something that happens often at all.
Believe what you want - I don't need to be convinced. I had my own episode 4 days back in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, and have also cut sign on more than one occasion. I know they are there.
Doncha just (HEART) Anglais?
