I've never seen a cougar...nor a wolf....or a wolverine...I guess they don't exist....
but I saw a lynx....once....
I’m from British Columbia, originally from Saskatchewan now in America. The Pac Northwest territory is huge and driven through it so many times in the past 20 years, even since high school, but just like the Cascades, I heck always pray that I don’t get stuck close to the forest at night. Sometimes your eyes just play tricks on you late at night.
I live in the cascade foothills of western Washington for 30 years.
Never saw a bear in the wild. Done all kinds of fishing and hiking, spent multiple weekends at White River campground on Mt. Rainier, which for all intents and purposes is the bears Cabo San Lucas.
Seen their tracks plenty of times, but never saw one during the daylight.
Tracks, seems to me, are very credible evidence of something.
My skepticism is not about the existence of Sasquatch. Living all my life in Washington and hearing BF encounters first hand from very respectable people, I give it a very good chance of actually being real. I have had my own encounter with something while camping in a remote area near the now famous Skookum Meadow in Skamania County, when we were woken early in the morning by very loud vocalizations.
What I am skeptical about is Todd Standing. He has tried to pass off poorly hoaxed stuff before. He is just improving on what he has done before. In the world of Big Foot research once a hoaxer always a hoaxer. His films and photos, even these latest are not being taken seriously on the Bigfoot research web pages.
You have never seen a Cougar?? I see them at the gym all of the time. :)
