On Monday's Mark Levin Show: Mark gives his response to the mainstream media's hype over hurricane Irene and says although obviously some families were affected by it, the overall chaotic atmosphere that the media created was not necessary. Governor Chris Christie's arrogance towards the people of New Jersey was rude and unnecessary as well. There was no need for as many evacuations as there were - Governor Christie is the "You tube Governor," always trying to get his video bytes played.
Seems Levin has a beef with everyone. There are some days, during the commute home, that his whiny rants get on my last nerve and I have to switch to something more relaxing, like heavy metal.
Good point!
Yes, his show is not what you call easy listening! He can be funny, but i have to be in the mood to listen.
yeah I’m with Christie on this one. The flooding is horrible too, worse than ‘84.
I am not a Christie fan because he isn’t a conservative. However, he isn’t a fake or phony because he doesn’t claim to be a conservative.
He is a RINO, but he also doesn’t pretend he is otherwise.
We’re a nation is wussies when Christie’s comments bother us. Boo-freaking-hoo. Grow a pair.
I agree with Levin, if somebody wants to lay out on the beach and drown so be it.
He’s not conservative enough. Not sufficiently hostile to Muslims. That sort of thing.
Nope. This time it wasn’t hype. Up and down the east coast we have had some of the worst flooding many of us have ever seen. Here in NJ, it’s going to take quite some time (and money) to repair the extensive damage.
Has Levin unearthed the flawless candidate?
And of course, Mark Levin is never rude and arrogant. LOL
Pot calling kettle black...Mark must have been spurned by Christie at one time to go to this length to hammer him on air.
This is a question for anyone who remembers when Hurricane Ike hit the Houston area 2 years ago. Was the storm and the time after on TV 24/7 like this one that hit the east coast? I was busy preparing for several days before the storm hit and then lost power a few hours into the storm and was without electricity for 2 weeks afterward. Was it the TV event that this one has been?
It was barely a Cat 1.... I watched the lead-up before landfall and saw the latest Jim Cantori guy standing on a beach with the camera WAY FAR AWAY and blurry but you could tell the water at the beach wasn’t even moving.
It was ALL hype leading up to it, and as of two nights ago TWC was still REPEATEDLY trying to tell us how BAD this storm really was, “like Katrina and Ike.”
No media has been talking about any of the casualties, just reporting numbers, which I think are inflated with any traffic accident or heart attack they can find.
I watched press releases from foreign media before landfall tell us how Hussein was personally leading our country through this.
It may have been a bad rainstorm, but Hussein’s handlers and the media in his pocket milked it HARD for Hussein’s benefit.
Probably to keep the story buried that he’d been flying his Canadian buses around to make himself look good.
What a Peas of Sh!t this president is.
That's normal. They have to fill in those little spaces between the commercials. But the storm, in the end, was a significant event that caused a hell of a lot of damage.
I agree with Levin, if somebody wants to lay out on the beach and drown so be it.

Amen and if you have to send someone in AFTER the ‘mandatory’ evacuation, bill the party involved.
Best line (with so much rhetoric, hard to tell what was true in regards to ‘THE STORM’ to end all storms) some sheriff was telling people they had to leave and was getting answers like “I have never left before and will not leave now”, the LEO (supposedly) handed the guy a black magic marker and said “Write your name and Social Security # on your arm, so we can ID you later”.
IMNSHO, that is the ONLY thing government/LEO should be telling citizens.
If they feel you are endangering your children, fine that is a charge you can fight BUT it should be your business (and naturally responsibility) whether or not YOU evacuate.
Exactly. It’s Jersey for Pete’s sake.
Yeah, sure he was blunt. But he also said, if I remember right, that he couldn’t force people to comply when it came right down to it.
He sounded less imperious to me than that insufferable Bloomberg, who struck the right “tone” but was telling the people in Manhattan they were breaking the law by staying.
Christie is who he is. He has positions you or I may not like one darn bit, but he’s not even remotely close to a fake, phony, fraud.
Bob Grant, is that you? ;)
I asked, "Why the f*#k is he screaming at me? Is he mad that I live in New Jersey during a hurricane?"
He was ridiculous. He closed the GSP southbound of Exit 98 about 36 hours before the storm! "Nobody should need to go to South Jersey!" he bellowed. "And if you think you're going to Atlantic City for dinner tonight, you better think again!" Again this was almost 2 days before the storm hit!
He was an unnecessarily angry and hyperventilating goofball throughout the whole ordeal. And I like the guy!
