On Monday's Mark Levin Show: Mark gives his response to the mainstream media's hype over hurricane Irene and says although obviously some families were affected by it, the overall chaotic atmosphere that the media created was not necessary. Governor Chris Christie's arrogance towards the people of New Jersey was rude and unnecessary as well. There was no need for as many evacuations as there were - Governor Christie is the "You tube Governor," always trying to get his video bytes played.
Christie is normally fun to listen to as he runs circles around journalists, and all sorts of others. I like it when someone says what they mean, and means what they say. Short and to the point. That's it.
However, Christie's comment "get the hell off the beach" is unbecoming of any governor.

Chris, you're not a king. You work for your citizens, do not forget that. And if there's a hurricane coming, nobody's working on their tans with that many clouds around.
Christie jumped the shark a while ago. Even with all his changes, he still won’t be able to save NJ economically, which is all he has to brag about.
Ray Nagin took a more dignified approach to the evacuation of New Orleans.
First news out was a guy was surfing and got caught by the waves and killed. Then another ~ SEE: http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20110829/BREAKINGNEWS/110829010/New-Smyrna-Surfer-killed-during-hurricane-remembered-
I like Christie’s response. I’m tired of being being offended and blaming others for being rude and arrogant. Too freaking bad.
It’s New Jersey—we’re naturally rude and sarcastic. Levin, of course, has an axe to grind with Christie. That said, I thought Christie was a little gruff, and I’ve thought since his rise to fame that he is in danger of falling into hubris. Hopefully that won’t happen.
Oh, yeah, Ray Nagin ~ politely held off on a mandatory evacuation order until he had 500 school buses filled with water !
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Those who like him love him, and he will never do anything right in the eyes of those who do not.
“Get the he’ll off the beach,” seems entirely appropriate to me. It was exactly what needed to be said.
Yeah, nothing screams dignity like running away to a hotel penthouse suite in Houston.
I think it was all manufactured hype by NBC and TWC to help the president look more presidential.
They were hoping for a much worse storm, with more non-incidental fatalities, for him to “personally lead his country” like the pre-emptive foreign news releases said he was doing.
And of course, Mark Levin is never rude and arrogant. LOL
“Get the hell off the beach, seems entirely appropriate to me. It was exactly what needed to be said.”
It was about that time I read that the Husseins were spending a last few minutes of vacation time on the beach.
I lean towards Christie.
I’m tired of people getting their asses in a sling and then blaming goobermint when they don’t get out quickly enough. “Disasters” like Katrina only lead to MORE government involvement and the invariably resulting incompetence.
Funny this horse's a$$, Levin, doesn't mention New York's mayor bloomberg's senseless, grandstanding evacuation order.
Too bad he is in love with putting Muzzies on the bench instead of saying “get the hell of the bench”
Ditto.
BINGO! This storm was pimped up by the Weather Channel to be
the storm of the last four centuries for NYC. We live on LI
by the water and evacuated to higher ground. We could have
saved our basement if we would have stayed. However, look
at Northern Jersey, upstate New York and Vermont and the damage in those areas.
what is Levin’s beef with Christie?
