Really neat photo! I really like old statues (whether it is lions or anything else).

I have a bunch of various POLAROID cameras.
They are now totally useless, due to the film no longer being manufactured.
I did see on ‘pack’ (10 pictures) on EBAY for $99.00
I wonder how long before they quit processing 35mm FILM?

Personally, I like a little less contrast.

35mm should be around for a while, there are parts of the world where it still rules.
Polaroid has always been too expensive, it is complicated stuff to make.

Wow—that is an AMAZING photograph! Thanks for the ping!

Looks overexposed and washed out on my monitor.
I use a Huey Pro to calibrate for color and brightness.

ME Super had been my camera for years. I still have it, but took the batteries out for long-term storage. Digital is just so much cheaper to do.

Awesome picture SS. Hope you are pleased with your garage sale find.
Looking forward to your lion collection. Every time our family visits St. Augustine we discover something new.
I always enjoy your posts. Major thanks!

I bought an ME in 1980 and ran a couple hundred rolls of film through it, including an 18 month assignment at an open pit mine. Sometime in 1985, the camera jammed and I sent it in to Pentax for cleaning.
Returned in about a month, the camera cleaner included a note suggesting, “this camera looks like it’s been in a coal mine.”
Two years ago, I traded it in to B&H on a Canon 60D. The Canon is superior in many ways but I miss the light weight ME.

St Augustine is a veritable PARADISE for photography!
And most of the attractions (Like Matanzas Fort, The Castillo, The groovy streets of Old Town) are free or nearly.
Great shot!

Thanks swampy.
It is a nice shot and I would love to see a St. Augustine collection!
I did some garden shots there on 35 MM about 20 years ago and still have some framed and displayed.

Very nice! The blues look almost HDR!
Did you shoot with any filters or do any post-processing on that one?
To: Sylvester McMonkey McBean
I get the film processed at Walgreens, negatives only. Their scans aren't good enough for anything but small images. My scanner does a decent job on negatives and from there I treat the images just like I do with digital files in Photoshop
It's a slow process when you scan for high resolution but I have the time.
I size the files I save at 3000X2000 pixels in TIFF format. I make smaller jpg versions for posting.
