Actual Title: The Parallax Corporation to Release First Officially Licensed High-Energy Plankton Food, Soylent Green

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 23, 2011 The all-natural green crackers, which contain real high-energy plankton, are made in the U.S. at a small-batch gourmet food manufacturing plant.

"We worked to create a collectible box that looks just the way Soylent Green would have been packaged," says Parallax President David Garth, "and the box design recreates the utopian propaganda of an evil mega-corporation with the feelings of despair and hunger depicted in the movie."

Soylent Green, which was released in 1973 to critical acclaim, was based on a Harry Harrison novel, Make Room! Make Room!, and is set in a remarkably prescient dystopian future, where the world suffers from overpopulation, food shortages, poverty, food riots, pollution and severe global warming. Much of the population survives on processed food rations manufactured by the giant Soylent Corporation. These include Soylent Green itself, which is advertised as being made from "high-energy plankton," in spite of the dying oceans. In the final scene, Detective Thorn provides the famous quote when he shouts, "Soylent Green is PEOPLE!"

This is the first time that Soylent Green has been officially manufactured under license.

"We couldn't include people among the ingredients," joked Garth, "because that's strictly illegal. At least that's our official position."

Obama seeks new 'Soylent green' infrastructure as a job creation policy. /sarc

Green Jobs the Obama way

But resist we much! . . . I say we much!

GreenJobs6
The president recently toured Johnson Controls Inc., a Michigan company that received $300 million from 'Obama's stash' to create a whopping 150 jobs. That's $2 million per green job. And this is the company the White House chooses to showcase? Evergreen Solar, a Massachusetts company, also received stimulus money, but the White House that is 'the most open and transparent in history' won't say how much, only that Evergreen is hoping to hire 90 to 100 people. Instead, it declared bankruptcy and shipped 800 jobs overseas. Well, so much for green jobs.

The owners of this enterprise sure have a sense of humor.

Well, after inbreeding and incest, I guess cannibalism is next on the menu.

Which one of the layers of Hell are we currently in?

I’ll try ‘em,,, but it’s well known that I will try almost anything,,,, food-wise. I will not try the warthog butts though! I like these bizarre Chinese, twisted-stick crackers made with kelp. They’re delicious, but if I eat too many, I become a human fart machine!

Today I was thinking of the scenes in It’s A Wonderful Life where Jimmy Stewart sees the hell his hometown became if he wasn’t there: the gambling, prostitution, control by criminals, no God fearing people in evidence anywhere.

This is where we are now - a hell made by liberals who get their power from the lower life forms - the more of them there are the happier the liberals are.

Strawberry jam hasn't been the same since I saw that movie even though strawberry jam in the movie was made from "real" strawberries.

My Dad worked with some other scientists on a zooplankton cookie for Africa during the 80s droughts.

According to him - aspects of the tale might be apocryphal - there was some kind of tasting-presentation in Addis Ethiopia and the bigshot Ethiopian UN attache or whomever he was spat it out and said -

“You eat this S&:+ in America?”

Fish, and plankton. And sea greens, and protein from the sea. It’s all here, ready. Fresh as harvest day. Fish and sea greens, plankton and protein from the sea. And then it stopped coming. And they came instead. So I store them here. I’m ready. And you’re ready. It’s my job. To freeze you. Protein, plankton...

If that's true, I wonder if they can hook Me up with a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range?

Very few movies remain in my memory but this one is there to this very day. The danger is not corporations but government.
