Just when you thought the campaigns coming out of George Soros Open Society Institute couldnt push the envelope any further, the Soros backed institute topped itself. OSI reportedly just released a new comic book titled Methadone Man and Buprenorphine Babe which encourages drug addicts to use Methadone and Buprenorphine to combat heroin and other opioid drug withdrawals and even to fight HIV.

If anyone thought that Soros wasn't past his prime, here is some evidence that he is. This nonsense will go over like a lead balloon.

I know how not to get HIV. I didn’t need a comic book.

In my experience, heroin users are not the most careful individuals. He thinks he can change the addictive mindset?

    On a scale of 1 to 10.
Artwork: 2 (flat, uninspired, portions look incomplete)
 Storyline: 1 (weak, transparent, unrealistic)
Dialog: 1 (predictable, agenda driven drivel)
Price: 1 (cover price of 25 cents is 24 pennies to high)
Collectability: 5 (may have kitsch appeal with pharmaceutical executives or heroin users that read)
 Alternate uses: wrapping fish

Drug addicts read comic books? I mean, really!!! These books on a magazine stand will only encourage children to buy them who, at first, have no idea what methadone is. The picture of some sort of hero will attract them. Hope parents are watching what their kids buy. This is the most ridiculous, low effort ever.

From what I've seen, their power is give interviews and to hold massive rallies while wearing funny costumes. They're basically a couple of community organizers in Edna Mode knock-offs. This is basically Political Action Comics.

This isn’t gonna go over well with the “legalize drugs!” crowd.

    Worst. Comic. Ever.
Every issue will be the same. I'm guessing it's something like this:
Our "heroes" sit in a dumpy 1br apt. Utilities have been cut off. After turing the vermin infested place upside down for any forgotten stash, they decide to visit the local clinic for some govt provided methadone and buprenorphine. After dosing, they sit on the grimy clinic stairs and have the following exchange....
M-man: Whatcha wanna do today...?
B-babe: I dunno.
M-Man: Wanna stop narcotic withdrawl and HIV.....?
B-Babe: Nah.
M-Man: Yeah, me neither.
Every other issue will be variation....lather, rinse, repeat....

Soros is a power-mad megalomaniac. This is his soft and gentle approach, and when he has enough adults and children convinced, he will remove the carrot and continue on to the stick.

What, he couldn’t get Gilbert Shelton to do it? I mean, really, “Methadone Man and Buprenorphine Babe” sound like they were born to be underground comix characters.

Viagra and Prozac are just the things to boost Obama’s sagging approval levels and to get that ol’ thrill up the leg in time for 2012’s erlection.

“Can I get some XTC with this shot of Methadone?”
Addicts want the kick, not to kick the habit.
The knowledge that needles and other risky activities carry a threat of AIDS is not news to these people. A comic book won’t change the matter.
