Growing up in the late 60s, 70s, and 80s, I can’t help but come to the conclusion you both missed on what was the most musical group then.

Every time I listen to Jethro Tull, I hear something new, and am amazed by the layers...

They didn’t do alot as far as sonic exploration like Floyd or Yes or others, but their music, their ballads, truly timeless stuff!

I remember the day I first heard The Wall. I won the album in a radio contest at Q107 in Washington DC (WRQX.)

I guess I was maybe nine years old?

I sat dazed through the entire four sides, staring at the speakers. I had never heard anything so amazing, so soaring, so haunting in my life. I am still blown away by the soaring solos and fresh, wild melodies.
