I dunno, the Judge is a bit of a niche item, until you consider dog attacks, or pack of dogs attacks. The lethality of the .410 in a human target is also present. I don’t think it’s a “stupid” gun, but maybe not everyone’s cup of tea.
I don’t understand the ballistics report here. But I’m sure thats because the author may be an idiot.
IIRC, The Judge was specifically designed to foil carjackers. I know there’s at least one promotional video of it in action.
From personal experience, it’s important to engage the revolver’s safety, and for god’s sake, DON’T INSERT A CLIP INTO THE GRIP UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT! Besides, you can simply remove the flint from the lock, until you know hostiles might be around.
Precisely.
> He should have kept his booger-hook off of the bang switch.
Very well put.
The moral of this story is “Don’t play with your gun while driving”.
I’m ashamed to say I understand exactly what you are saying, Laz! (carryover from another thread!) ;-P
ping
The Judge is like a retarded Transformer; it goes from being the the world’s worst shotgun to being the world’s worst .45LC. It’s the Osprey of pistols.
Sounds like it prevented this guy from driving off.
I don’t keep a round chambered in my 9mm semi. For this reason.

“permanent limp”
That would depend on just how high on the leg(s) the slug went.
My father thought about getting one for killing snakes in his back yard utilizing the 410 shotshell. He’s got some really big cottonmouths though, and I’d rather see him use a 12 gauge to give him some stand-off room.
Someone was talking about the Darwin award for this guy. I’m thinking that should go the the guy demonstrating his .40 glock to his friend that it can’t fire out of battery while they were driving on the highway. He shot through a few arms before the bullet went through the car door.
Yes there is. But the advantage of Da Judge is it can eat .45Colt or .410 shot rounds. Why load a 90g. .410 slug instead of a 250g. bullet load?
Me too. And I have a Colt Detective Special in pristine condition. I hardly ever carry or shoot it. It stays most of the time in the safe.
“Is that an accidental discharge, or are you just happy to see me?”
410 loaded with #4 shot is great for snakes and skunks
45LC 250gr is good for 2 legged varmints.
too large for a pocket holster
Im liking the circuit judge, I think its called. it has a short bbl and a bobbed hammer. Be fine for carrying in a winter coat pocket or stuck between the seats of your car. This wing nut undoubtedly shot himself because he was carrying the gun with the hammer cocked. Theres no way, with the trigger pull on that piece, that its going off with a hammer down on a live round.
Eventually they'll do the Cable-Guy thing, and "Git er done".
+1, no way he pulled a DA trigger. The gun was cocked SA before he grabbed it.
