The largest army in the world - American hunters

Food for thought.

Someone added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at this striking conclusion:

There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin alone. Allow me to restate that number. Over the last several months, Wisconsin's hunters became the Eighth Largest Army in the World. More men under arms than in Iran . More than in France and Germany combined. These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan 's 700,000 hunters, all of whom have now returned home. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

The point? America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security.

Which state has the highest number of licenses per capita? Maine has to be in the top five if my experience is any indication.

I am one of those Wisc. hunters. I use sabot rounds. Notice to the brown shirts: Make sure your body armor is thick enough. I don’t miss.

Don’t know. But I hear here in Montana the average household has 8 guns.

BUMP. May the army of free Americans grow and be blessed with strength, peace, common sense, and all that pertains to the wisdom of our forefathers as bestowed by the grace of God.

Yes, it appears PA has the lead if the internet searches I’ve done are any indication. WV, TX and MI are up there as well.

Allow me to submit Alaska as my candidate for most hunters per population.

It isn't foreign invasion that is killing freedom in this country. It's government at all levels. It's government looting the fruits of the labors from hard working americans and freely bestowing the plunder on those who don't labor at all. from food stamps to to 0bama care to medicaid to subsidized housing to free cellphones all those getting something without working for it are never going to learn to work for a living. Why should they when someone steals for them and they get the stolen goods without even the risk of robbing the productive class in person?

And when the producers get tired of the parasites and the government looters? Why that's what gun control is for.

I’m not a hunter as I live in the outskirts of Los Angeles...but I will be if I have to. I will defend my country; it is the least I can do!
