Good Bye Mitt Romney. If you cannot do any better then this in the Midwest your candidacy is DOA. You may win in NH but your are DOA in the South and the Midwest. Save your money Mitt, it's over.
McCain, because of his Military record could win south of the Mason Dixon line, Romney cannot.
Earth to MNJohnnie: Romney pulled out of the Iowa Straw Poll in early June. If he jumped back in, I must have missed the announcement.
And in ‘87 it appears GHWB came in 3rd, yet won the nomination and went on to beat the little Duke.
McCain, because of his Military record could win south of the Mason Dixon line. Romney cannot. So, if he cannot do better then this in the Midwest, and he cannot win the the South, where does he win the Nomination?
I think there is a very clear indication that the political landscape has shifted dramatically since 08.
Wonder if the GOP insider dinosaurs will finally recognize their imminent extinction?
I find the fact that ANYONE would want this unnerving. These egos (and I'm excluding nobody on either side, from Sarah to Zero to Biden to Hillary) don't seem to realize that if elected you automatically become:
.
.
.
The most hated person on the face of the earth.
I don't get it; but then again, I wouldn't want to run for dogcatcher.
That's what everyone thought. Turns out though that his whole operation was being propped up by other means by George Soros.
The RINO Romney pulled out
because he knew HE IS A FAILURE.
It is the same exact reason the RINO ROmney FLED
Massachusetts. Citizens are ready to ‘tar and feather’ him.
You hit the nail on the head.
FOX's misogynist RomneyBOT:
I don’t think Romney can win the nomination either, for many reasons. But you wrote (in post #20) that “no candidate who has finished less then 2nd [in this poll] has ever won the nomination” — a demonstrably false statement. No need to invent facts.
Place | Candidate | Votes | Percentage |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Mitt Romney | 4,516 | 31.6% |
2 | Mike Huckabee | 2,587 | 18.1% |
3 | Sam Brownback | 2,192 | 15.3% |
4 | Tom Tancredo | 1,961 | 13.7% |
5 | Ron Paul | 1,305 | 9.1% |
6 | Tommy Thompson | 1,039 | 7.3% |
7 | Fred Thompson | 203 | 1.4% |
8 | Rudy Giuliani | 183 | 1.3% |
9 | Duncan Hunter | 174 | 1.2% |
10 | John McCain | 101 | 0.7% |
11 | John H. Cox | 41 | 0.3% |
Now explain to me again why Mitt would quit?
I certainly thought I remembered waiting breathlessly for the North Carolina vote and watching those precincts roll in. I remember the roar that went up when he finally won it.
I've said before that Palin is sitting in her Formula One racer, just waiting for the opening act demolition derby to conclude.
McCain, because of his Military record could win south of the Mason Dixon line. Romney cannot. So, if he cannot do better then this in the Midwest, and he cannot win the the South, where does he win the Nomination?
Perry received more votes than Mitt, and he wasn’t even in the race! lol
LOL!
