Oil is down almost $20 a barrel in the last two weeks.
Is the gas price falling for anyone here?
I filled up about ten days ago for $3.79 a gallon and just filled up again for $3.79 a gallon and I was a little fried about it...
SB, from my calculations, about $3.20 a gallon.
What say you, FReepers?
See #8 here...and remember, anything below $80/barrel (which is traded in USD) will mean bets are off for USD as petrodollar standard worldwide.
Use this link to create a chart for oil vs. gasoline prices. Select your area and pick a time range:

Oil is all over the place, while gasoline changes rather slowly in the big picture.
Around $3.70-3.79 in DC area. A lot depends on how much local tax is added to the federal tax. Also depends on whether is foreign or domestic oil (Hess gasoline is domestic).
In two days my local Krogers went from 3.68 to 3.88 and then to 3.58. How stupid is that?
Nothing sacred about $80 a barrel.
Remember, back in the 1998-1999 timeframe oil fell to btwn 30-35 dollars a barrel, and I remember paying under $1 a gallon for the first time in a long time.
Price of oil is more related to the political conditions in the mideast.
Wow. I live down the street from G.W. Bush, around the corner from the home of a few Halliburton and Mobile Exxon execs and we get gas from only $1.78 at the local convenience store. You must be hanging around the wrong neighborhood.

There’s a site called http://pure-gas.org that is supposed to have info on every station that sells it, but it’s down at the moment. My 8cyl Ford Explorer does way better. The wife’s Honda does too. I consider it one of the many perks of living in this area.
US crude dipping there in electronic trading tonight. Brent under 102. US inventories reportedly down too.
I suppose there’s nothing sacred about it, if one assumes we’re simply in a cycle. I don’t.....all things have changed as of 11/4/08, in fact.
Well...what do you think was the cost of the barrel of gas (oil) that the gas you just bought came from?
Ah but did you ever notice that when the price of oil goes up then gas goes up the next day.
Not falling here in WI.
I filled up today.
Same price as a week ago.
ObamaGeddon Sucks.
Yup. Exactly.
If Nutjob closed off the Straights of Hormuz tomorrow morning, by tomorrow evening, gas would be up $2.00 a gallon, if not more.
The whole “it’s in the pipeline” schtick is worn out.
Fueled up in PHX today for $3.19.”
Wow, that’s really inexpensive. And last time I checked you all don’t have any refineries or wells out there. It’s been bouncing around at the $3.4X south of Houston for most of the last week. Still around $3.65 in the city.
InGovSpeak: “An increase in gas prices was averted by falling oil prices”.
$3.54 for the cheap stuff today (non 85%-ethanol) outside of Minneapolis
yeah but it goes up daily.
refinery markup has tripled since January,
from 10 to 30 plus a barrel

the real problem is that when Exxon produces less,
their profit goes up.
not exactly an incentive tp produce.
It’s whatever the traffic will bear!
The oil companies don’t owe you squat!
The legislatures must have raised the taxes when we weren’t looking?
