Sarah Palin does not represent the Wilson sisters as “American women”? So, what does?

HA! I KNEW IT!
As a Songwriter, I knew at the time that the McCain/Palin Campaign would NEVER have used the song without proper licensing. Which means they PAID to use it.

Unless the composer controls the publishing rights to their song, they have no say in WHO purchases the license and MAKES MONEY for them.

No they don’t regret it. They are clueless leftist morons who don’t have time for the facts.

But they proudly sell their music rights for “What About Love” to a mop product.

I was talking to Roger at the Raging River about a month ago. He sat in with my old band on stage. We’re facebook friends, but don’t talk politics. If I had known he had done this, I’d have brought it up.

Forget "Barracuda." Use a better song such as Yankee Rose by the Revelers or Girl of My Dreams by Blue Steele.

OF course they do, they are self deluded Liberals, like most of them are. Cognitive dissonance, while it might give them pause, doesn’t bother them at all.

Wilson Sisters(HEART)

The Canadian rockers known for hits like Barracuda, Dreamboat Annie and Magic Man are currently in the midst of a 20-stop tour of Canada.

I wonder if he and the Wilson sisters feel the same way about Barack Obama these days..

Why would you think they'd change their minds? They come from the ivory tower, limousine liberal entertainment establishment. These people would support Obama even if he ate live babies on national TV.

Sept 2008

In a statement posted on the EW.com site, the Wilsons wrote:

“Sarah Palin’s views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women. We ask that our song ‘Barracuda’ no longer be used to promote her image. The song ‘Barracuda’ was written in the late ‘70s as a scathing rant against the soulless, corporate nature of the music business, particularly for women. (The ‘barracuda’ represented the business.) While Heart did not and would not authorize the use of their song at the RNC, there’s irony in Republican strategists’ choice to make use of it there.”

Donning my flame suit, let me loudly pronounce: "Who cares?"

Heart sucks, period. They always have, they always will. The only reason anybody ever paid any attention to them was because (at one time) one of the chicks was semi-decent looking. They never expressed an original musical idea, and they're technically not that good.

If they were a guy band, they'd have been forgotten decades ago.

The Wilson sisters said that "Sarah Palin's views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women."

I thought they were Canucks.

I don’t see any regret coming from the entertainment field in regards to 0bama. They all march in line as committed leftists where conservatives=evil and Demonrats/communists/tyrants=good. I loved Heart and admired Ann and Nancy’s songwriting talent, but when I learned how they were ardent abortion supporters and leftists I can’t listen to them or support them anymore. I’m like that when people I liked are that activist and vocal.
