The article said she was from the 1954 TV version of Casio Royale. I was wondering how she could have been a Bond girl before Ursula Andress.

I wondered the same thing. The 1962 vision of Ursula getting out of the surf is still one of the greatest movie pans of all time. They tried, with little success, to duplicate it with Halle Berry. She is hot, but couldn’t touch Ursula. And I wasnt born til ‘67!

Awful way to go, though 87 is a good run by most anyone’s standards. RIP.

BTW, Ursula was always my favorite Bond girl when I was a kid.

I was even more of a fan when, as a slightly older kid, I saw her in “The Sensuous Nurse” on late-night Showtime. My parents grounded me for two weeks when they found out, but it was worth it, believe me! :-)

Ursula “Undress” was paired up with James Dean on a “date”
as an 18 year old starlet in 1955. Picture was reprinted often in the years that followed Dean’s death. Dean looks both uneasy and ultra-cool in the photo as if to say “How did I get to be so lucky? I’m from Marion Indiana.”
