From the gist of this article, they quit on account of not being paid.

gingrich has achieved the status he should have been recognized for a long time ago. He is a con man...running for president for the money he could manage to receive in donations. But he blew it right out of the box.

Don't left him off one dime of it.
How much was Hillary in debt after her (NY Senate)campaigns. I bet she did not pay a dime. But she made truck loads of dimes for her books...(ghost written). Does anyone smell political pay backs?

Newt Gingrich = Elmer Gantry....or Lonesome Rhodes.
He has made some good points and seemed pretty smart earlier in his career - but at this point he is just “riding the gravy train”...sad that he couldn’t go out better.
To: ak267
Gingrich's White House bid has struggled since 18 staff members, consultants and advisers, including his two chief fundraisers, resigned earlier this year. Having 18 paid staff was way too extravagant. That and the private jets are where his money went. All for nothing.

He runs his campaign the way obama runs the country.

What exactly do you want to hear debate about? A better fiscal policy for America (He can’t even keep his own campaign out of debt)
To: tennmountainman
His campaign is in debt because nobody actually wants him to be president. But he is a very good historian, and can provide perspective in the debates.

Really? In debt about $1 million? Are they aware that Hillary’s debts still aren’t paid off? How is this news?

wolfat,
I do not care for Newt or a whole lot of other “old guard”.
But Ya know he is capeable of throwing a few timely bombs in to the mix.
Gots to make it fun ya know?
To: concerned about politics
He never truly “left” the left, as he started out with Nelson Rockefeller in 1968.
To: ak267
Perhaps he could use some more Right Wing Social Engineering...or Accounting.
