The last time I ate fried clams, I was sick for three days.
Do you have a salmonella ping list?
I don't think so, but there is an iodine sensitivity list somewhere. I'm itching to find it.

So, to those who are guilty of this get over yourself and you need to feel important, because youre not. Having members disgruntlement held up to the brilliant light of truth is another answer to the question.

SA76?
Is your "fried clam" ping list the same as the "fried clam strip" ping list?
Because I always preferred to go to the local Howard Johnson's restaurant on Wednesday night, which was All-You-Can-Eat Fried Clam Strips Night, rather than any other night of the week. Because I like fried clam strips. But I also like fried clams.
I've had both fried clams and fried clam strips and believe they shouldn't be considered as the same food, much like deep dish Chicago-style pizza and New York-style pizza shouldn't be considered as the same food for the sake of comparison.
You see, fried clams have that rounded, juicy clam-belly part that tastes good, but you don't want to bite it in half and then look to see what's left on your fork or in your fingers in the "didn't-go-in-the-mouth-clam-belly" part. Because the innards of a clam aren't pleasing to look at, but only to eat.
While clam strips, on the other hand, don't have all that clam-belly goodness, but you can bite anywhere on a clam strip and not worry about looking down at what's left on your fork or in your fingers.
So, for that reason, I consider fried clams and fried clam strips to be different and could eat fried clams on a Tuesday night and then have fried clam strips on a Wednesday night and not feel as if I was eating the same thing two nights in a row.
That's why I ask about the ping list. Because I don't mind being on both a fried clam ping list and a fried clam strip ping list.
They're like . . . different.
Do you know what I mean?

I remember that.
When I first came here, shibumi, Salamander and Slings and Arrows had amnners.
Thank God and medical science a cure was found. ;-)
