Did They Look Like These Desperados?

Good morning gardeners. It has been another week of hot humid weather. My little garden got its small share of a 60% chance of rain yesterday afternoon. A nice pop up T-storm spent about half an hour dropping a nice steady rain on my garden. There is a 70% chance of rain today. If the percentage for rain is not above 50 the pop up T-storms seem to pass me by. I did get to harvest about a dozen ripe tomatoes this past week but they are on the small side. My replacement paste tomato plants are coming along just fine so far. I will leave them to develop in their 5 inch peat pots for a couple of more weeks before setting them out in the garden.

If you have a HOA, and live in the city, how do you have chickens? I wouldn't think that would fly with either. We have a HOA, but are not in a city and we are wanting to have a few chickens, but have not approached the HOA yet.
The above was my plea for suggestions as to what to plant in my squished, sideways pot out by the swing. I got only nasturtiums as a suggestion and didn't think they would grow fast enough. Yesterday I came home from the nursery around the corner with 4 gazanias and 2 sweet potato vines and planted them last night in 3 cu. feet of potting mix. They look[ed] good, but now I can sit at my back window with binoculars and watch a family of rabbits chomping on them. Salad bar for rabbits. **sigh**

We have a Neighborhood Association, not an HOA....ihn any case our City has a generous “urban livestock” Ordinance that allows 5 laying hens (no roosters)...
Another Armed Bank Robbery. This time it was two male Amish Yutes one 24 and one 16. They got caught a few miles down the road from here.
Why heck yes they caught them! They were driving a buggy with 24” spinner hubcaps and dark tinted windows and 3,000 amp stero...
Well, I checked the damage — not much, so far. But there has been a gathering of rabbits out there off and on all day. I found one half-chewed gazania flower and no damage to the Sweet Potato leaves. Of course they probably consumed at least 10 gazanias, but there are plenty more left. If this is all the damage they do, I’m happy to share. I did send Max, the Golden, out to scare them away. He was too late, but I allowed him to linger around the new flowers to leave his scent.
You both live in exciting neighborhoods. We haven’t had any excitement around here since my neighbor allowed his bonfire to get out of hand 3 years ago. Almost took his barn down with his classic car collection inside.
I may be wrong, and I haven’t yet had to deal with it, but I have heard that you can brush your dogs hair and spread the dog hair around your plants as an animal repelant.

Out here they have spoke wheels knowns as Elbows, or Swangas. The farther that they stick out, the cooler they are. Very pricey.

Not really - the two lane road in front of my house leads to an unlimited access 4 lane country highway very little traffic and sparsely populated. You can go south toward Mobile or head north and if you need to leave town in a hurry and the law is behind you it is a better route than the limited access Interstate because there are numerous sides roads you can exit on. If you had a decent head start you have a chance of eluding the coppers.

LOL...I’ll hang up my gardening hat the day those critters show up in my yard...

26” eight lug = $3770 ea.
I read they are illegal in quite a few states. I doubt I will see them around hear any time soon. My wife told me there are places (Rent-A-Center) that rent those spinner wheels. She works with a bunch of Amish Folks who know. They can’t afford to buy them.
