Man oh man. What is happening to our society? Where are all of these people coming from all of the sudden? People parking in Handicapped spots that walk completely fine and then pull down the placard as they drive away. Ignorant people that cut in line at the deli, amusement park or shows. Parents on cell phone calls as their crazed kids run around uncontrollably. I ain't perfect, nor am I one of those people that said "when I was young..." Because I feel a lot of these teens have more "manners" than most adults and younger kids. WTH is going on? There is no shame and when you confront these people they completely act as if you were not there and ignore you! I find it amazing and it is getting worse at an alarming rate. Does anyone else notice this?
How about, “Don’t take it personal.”
That one drives me up a wall.
You are right and I did not know that about taking it down. However, DMV says I can’t have tinted front windows, can’t have a radar detector up, can’t have papers in my visor, etc... but we all do it.
Please read on my disorder and I would also like to mention my cousin’s who had 1/2 his lung taken out during a bout with cancer. He has no placard, wants no money and will take NO HELP! He is out of breath every time I see him yet he goes out of his way to visit family in the hospital, take his kids out and lead as close to normal a life.
Sorry, but i am in pain every day and he is in more... so if you are looking for sympathy from people who are worse off than you i won’t pretend to give it. Please people, enough with this pity party as you are sounding like the “entitled people” that are ruining this country.
I mean it this with all the love in my heart... please don’t give into the mantra of “poor old me...my disability sucks”. This leads to anger, pity and depression. I know some of you have it really bad and you have my sympathy and you are the people that DESERVE these spots and you inspire me to be a better person. Thank you....
One can't know and I wouldn't judge the person unless they jumped out of the car and hopped on a skateboard or something like that.
However, I do know of a scam that is common in my state. One spouse is disabled, get a disabled permit. That spouse later dies. The remaining spouse then continues to use the disabled permit for years and years.
Where I live, it’s the yellow-painted curb running the length of the strip mall, with “no standing” signs, which apparently it’s okay to disregard if you just put your flasher on while you run in to drop off your dry cleaning, or pick up a few things in the drug store.
The cops do ticket for it, which is always gratifying to watch.
I tried to come up with a good comment but I don’t understand what this thread is about and it took too much effort.
My guess...she’s that Liberal woman who threw wine on Glenn Beck’s wife at Bryant Park.
“The only thing that will make people shape up is getting their a**es kicked. Once TSHTF, someone getting beaten up, because they cut in line or said something rude to someone who won’t put up with it, will be of little concern to the police. They’ll have bigger problems on their hands.”
Yeah, like when they run out of Soylent red and yellow. Sorry, that was the first thing that flashed thru my mind.
You and me both. I used to obsess about savings, planning, budgets, etc. and now I think that in 5-10 years, the civil war will start and Mexicans/Blacks/Muslims will start shooting up the nursing homes of old Anglos and attacking innocents, tipping the nation into chaos and civil war.
Just my opinion.
Add another: My husband says “mentally handicapped”.
Glad you got your son back and everything's OK.
But shouldn't the family across the street be reported to the HOA for having a rabbit on the premises. Especially one named "Honey"?
And vote.
Watching the way so many of them drive, I swear it is a mental handicap.
S.O.F.A. (Slow Old Fat Ahead) is the least part of it.
You are thinking 5-10 years. I’m thinking 3-13 MONTHS.
Here is a fun read or five:

Oh God...I know how you feel. When you lose your child - even for a couple seconds - it’s like the whole world stops. WORST feeling EVER. And I agree with you about people helping out their fellow man long ago...too bad you can get sued for it now these days. Unbelievable.
I have a handicap sticker that I will use rarely. (I rarely go shopping or such anyway). My favorite thing to do is park 7 or 8 spaces away from a handicap zone, hang up the unnecessary tag, then hobble on my cane or wheels to the store. That makes people stare for sure. LOL. I only use the tag when it’s really, really too hard to walk the distance.
Kids are kids - they WILL get lost or wander away from you at some point. You can’t get knocked for that. But yes...her behavior was totally inexcusable...as was the behavior of the people who also saw this poor little kid wandering around and kept bathing in the sun. I was sad to leave the poor kid with her...She didn’t even hug him or talk to him when he showed up. If that were my son, I would have snatched him up and hugged him and then probably collapsed into a blubbering mess.
It’s, a circus out there....lead by the “ringmaster” Obozo. He is the true difinition of class. I am suprized that his family has not shown up on People of WalMart. I know, I know. He has probably never set foot in one, but based on some of the photos I have seen, I am not so sure about Michelle. On second thought, maybe she would look better if she DID shop there....
“I tried to come up with a good comment but I dont understand what this thread is about and it took too much effort.”
I wanted to say something like this...(see my tag line) but didn’t know how to say it and didn’t want to take the time to think about it.
Sorry, I’m late.
Sometimes I drive around the downtown area or near the university, on side streets that are not so crowded. I bet myself $5 that I see a woman walking alone who is not on the cell phone. (The $5 goes from the left pocket to the right if I lose.) Well, I never lose.
I drive with the dog to the dog park. Same thing.
