The Tea Party has no leaders—but it has voices. Sarah Palin is one of the most prominent of them in the movement. The movement has no real head—if it did the rivals would try to chop it off. Sarah Palin, isn’t a Tea Party Queen—but she is a respected member. When she speaks the movement listens. Try to stop the movement—you can’t. The next election will show its power one more time. The GOP will need to listen or become part of the dust bin of history.

...we've all been wanting to hear our own version of "The Nightingale's Song" ever since Reagan rose off into the sunset, and we didn't even realize how much we missed it until Sarah sang it to us back in 2008.

Very well said.

Many of us missed that song during the Bush/Clinton/Bush years, and we discussed if often, but when Sarah stood up and began singing it, many of us could hardly believe our ears.

That song resonates with all true Americans, and therein lies the reason for the passionate, unbridled support that so many Americans express for this wonderful patriot.

No, she's not Ronald Reagan, but as you so eloquently put it, she sings the same full-throated melody, and we love her for it. Even more-so, because she sings it straight from the heart.

Amen, Forward. FR did more to help inspire the TEA Party than Sarah. The strong discontent with RINOs existed long before she was picked, allowing the Conservatives to peel away from the Republican Party and providing a forum where Conservatives and Libertarians could refine their views.

God bless Sarah, but this vanity doesn't not help her.

Sarah is my choice. I’m holding out for her. So, tell me now, in all honesty, do you think she’s gonna run?

How did the Bushes treat McCain badly? I recall it being the other way around.

McCain thinks the Bush team screwed him in 2000.

Quite naturally, McCain has screwed the nation ever since, just to get even.

Don’t ask me..., but it makes sense to him.

Ron Paul has more to say in the founding of the tea party than Palin does, but Palin gets a lot of credit for the positive tea party results across the country. She was out there working harder for the tea party candidates than anybody.

In terms of being able to show video of “proto tea party” type events, there is a ton of video from various “tea party” events on 12/16/07. There is video of people with tri corner hats. There is video of Ron Paul dumping tea into the water in a reanactment of the original Boston Tea Party.

If Ron Paul wants to use this video to make a TV Commercial showing that he is true authentic old school tea party, it will be effective. There were simultaneous tea party events taking place all over the country, and even in other parts of the world. And it puts to bed the idea that Ron Paul is not tea party.

Dirty tricks in south carolina primary with bush operatives saying mccain had drug addict wife, he cheated and might be homosexual and that his adopted kid was a negro when in fact Bangladeshi

It was not pretty but in killed McCains momentum he had going

Ironic considering Mccain had much better southern bloodlines and bonafides than mostly Yankee Bush did though Mammy Bush did have gentry kin from of all places South Carolina..rich too

I’m a big Sarah fan, too. I think she’ll run because she feels that we need what she has to offer. I don’t even think this recent bus tour is a test whether she’s “electable” or not, just alot of good PR.
That non-electable crap is only desparate spin to try and deter her. I talk to some of those people that say that they hate her and she’s stupid. I ask them what exactly they heard that made her sound stupid. 9 times out of 10, they don’t have an example or recite Tina Fey’s “I can see Russia...” statement.
This “stupid” label will, IMHO, dissolve quickly after she declares her canidacy. The networks will not be able to ignore, nor silence her speaking directly to the people of this country. Her air time will increase and they will identify with her message, just as we do.
I don’t think there are enough entitled Dems to re-elect Obama and we should take this oportunity to stand behind a fearless woman that can really get this country back on track.

Think back to August 2008. I was a supporter os John McCain due to his service to the Country. I thought that he was treated badly by the Bush Family in 2000, and I was glad to see him get his due.

Dirty tricks in south carolina primary
That clearly was the case. I wanted McCain to lose, but Bush played dirty pool to beat him in S.C.

While I was all to aware of his troublesome habit of "reaching across the aisle", I didn't care for Romney, finding him slick and disingenuous. I can still remember him trying to show us that he was a lifelong NRA guy (Boy, who wants to go to the shooting range for a photo-op this time around? Anyone up for a challenge from Sarah?) I thought Huckabee had alot of Elmer Gantry in him. Rudy and Fred Thompson got me excited, but when they failed to light a fire, I was happy for John McCain.
The pickings, I agree, certainly were slim in '08. But not so slim as to make me look past the fact that John McCain was wrong on the issues he seemed to care about the most. Again, the whole field of declared candidates was a farce. But McCain was a parody of a conservative candidate, and I understood Rush when he mused that McCain would do almost as much damage by winning as he would by losing.

Your Post #10 is spot on. I just wish she’d hurry and declare her candidacy. But, she’s very smart and she knows what she’s doing.

I would vote for Palin if she would declare that she would appoint John Bolton as Sec. of State, Thomas Sowell as Sec. of Ed. (with the express purpose of dismantling and closing), Ron Paul as Sec. of Treasury, and all other Cabinet posts to actual conservatives.

Some of the people she has buddied up with in the past, give me pause. She does say some good things though.

One man, a College-degreed banker, told me that he couldn’t stand Sarah Palin and he voted for Obama. I asked why and his answer was he didn’t like the way she said: “You betcha”. I said, “Wait a minute, because you didn’t like the way a Western gal said ‘you betcha’, you voted for a Marxist Muslim?” He just put his head down and said: “I won’t do that again”. DUMB A**.

What a "dream" cabinet there David. If that happened I'd be so happy I'd crap down both legs. (Sorry for the crude expression.)

I was not very informed about what actually took place. It bothers me quite a bit when politicians pull routines like this. If I remember correctly, Cindy did have a problem with some pain killers didn’t she?

At any rate, these were disgusting ploys.

McCain had every right to be angry about it. I think Bush should have been fair game for McCain to trash at every opportunity. Where I went south on that idea, is when McCain started trashing sound policy to get back at him.

That wasn’t just hurting Bush, but also the nation.

McCain has been a crusty old ass for decades. I would far rather have had Bush be president, but you win those things by merit, not using dirty tricks.

I’m no Bush fan by any means either.

Thanks for the refresher.
