Need Help in Finding a good web site that performs Background Checks on Individuals
Posted on 07/03/2011 7:41:28 PM PDT by Coleus
I have 2 friends who need to do background checks on perspective tenants for their 2-family homes, one friend is a single mother and doesn't want a criminal living in her house.
They want to check both criminal and financial records before they let a tenant in their home.
There are many internet sites out there and am not sure which ones are the better.
Any help would be appreciated.
thank you.

Our community college uses CertifiedBackground.com for our allied health students who require them for their clinical rotations.

If you have a release form, you can get a financial report from all three credit reporting agencies.

I check em for free..but its only in the state I’m in. In Washington I go here:
http://dw.courts.wa.gov/
This site looks loaded however I’ve never used:
http://www.einvestigator.com/links/index.html
Just being bored I look up roomates’ history and whoever. I was really shocked when I saw the deed of trust for the condo I’m renting. My landlord is making a mint of me and my roomate!
Thre’s divorce records, claims for garnishments, domestic violence..all going back 10+yrs.
All you need is first and last name and State. Middle name will narrow it down. Social will get you their shoe size.

Most states have volunteer programs that require police background checks - call one of these groups and ask them where they get their checks done - and how much it cost.

The best one Ive found so far- https://www.mysmartmove.com/
Here's the pricing(I recommend spending the extra $5 for the credit report) -
For the standard price of $25 the landlord receives:
Credit-based leasing recommendation/security deposit recommendation
National criminal report (including 50 state sex offender and OFAC/terrorist searches)
Renter fraud warnings
Automated renter identity verification
For an additional $5, the landlord may also receive: Immediate access to a credit report (a complete report formatted for readability while still keeping the renter's personal data private)
Viewable credit score
Renter fraud warnings
Detailed rental address history
