calling it for cadel in paris.
i dont think schlek(s) have enough cushion for the TT, but it will be a mighty race saturday.
Voelk gets my sentimental yellow jersey. man is a beast. never say die.
I live in Denver myself. But thanks for the offer! Won’t get much done for a day or two when I get back.....
Beautiful - I used to live there (up the canyon actually). I hope you found time to get a nice patio seat one evening and enjoy the summertime lightning shows at sunset.
NOW THERE ARE FOUR
General Classification after Stage 19
1 SCHLECK, Andy (LEOPARD-TREK) 82h 48' 43"
2 SCHLECK, Frank (LEOPARD-TREK) + 00' 53"
3 EVANS, Cadel (BMC RACING) + 00' 57"
4 VOECKLER, Thomas (EUROPCAR) + 02' 10"
5 CUNEGO, Damiano (LAMPRE - ISD) + 03' 31"
6 CONTADOR VELASCO, Alberto (SAXO BANK SUNGARD) + 03' 55"
7 SANCHEZ GONZALEZ, Samuel (EUSKALTEL-EUSKADI) + 04' 22"
8 BASSO, Ivan (LIQUIGAS-CANNONDALE) + 04' 40"
9 DANIELSON, Thomas (GARMIN-CERVELO) + 07' 11"
10 ROLLAND, Pierre (EUROPCAR) + 08' 57"
11 PERAUD, Jean-Christophe (AG2R LA MONDIALE) + 09' 42"
12 TAARAMAE, Rein (COFIDIS, LE CREDIT EN LIGNE) + 10' 30"
I am SOOOO impressed with this guy! I watched the replay tonight and noticed that he didn’t start to breathe heavily until after he passed AC. How is this possible? Come on, folks! We’re talking Alpes D’Huez!
This is so much fun! When has the TdF been up for grabs in the last 2 days? I honestly can’t remember. The Le Mond win was like that b/c the ITT was the last stage but Lance was dominant, AC has won 3, silly Floyd Landis with his nonsense... There are still 4-5 guys who could win this thing and certainly 3 guys who are in serious contention for the yellow overall.
Unbelievable. And exciting!

Not kidding, it was the cat again.
What can I say? R4F understands....
=^..^=
Tomorrow is going to be nuts! I am very excited!
Magnificent ride my Martin, who won the Dauphinee - the same ride - a few months ago. 55:33 leads the ITT - awesome.
Great to watch the fans go nuts for Hoogerland.
Quick shot of Evans warmup looks like he just finished a race. They must really push to get totally ready for an all out effort.
Oops, that poor start cost AC a second or two.
Surprised he slipped but he recovered quickly. I’d still be trying to re lip.
Love that little smile on Andy’s face at the start.
I like all of these guys. May the best man win even if it means a race to Paris tomorrow!
PS I don’t recognize those funky black rear derailleurs everybody’s using. I guess they’re all using the new wireless units from Shimano?
Cadel’s standing a lot. Go! Go!
C’mon, Cadel!
I like Andy and Frank Schleck, but I’ve been rooting for “poor ‘ol Cadel” since Day One this year...
Is is a little sad to see Andy going down, but they both can't win. Andy was brilliant in the mountains but Cadel stayed with him planning for today.
