ng James Version (KJV)

" ... 14.And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

15.Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

16.And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

17.Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

18.And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

19.Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

20.And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

21.Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Interesting that fasting is no longer mentioned in our houses of worship, other than just in passing.

Somehow fasting for God brings us nearer to God in our own mind. Amazing we do not do it.

We are like in the time of the judges. Man did whatever is right in his own mind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Judges 21:25
King James Version (KJV)
“25.In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is the deception of the enemy of God. We are so constantly besieged by distractions in today's society and we do not realize how it has effected our prayer time and our time with God. Me too.

We can set a time with God and commit to it for a month and let's see how we do. Joy, rejoice in our Lord.

Happy Thursday, one and all.

I won't be online much until after the middle of next month.

Meg and Jaycee ... I could have declared either of your bird posts as the Opener but ...
I couldn't choose which.
Thank you both for your lovely bird posts.

Yorkie, Pam and Teenie ... Some of your posts this week were in the Thread Opening category. Thank you!

All ... yesterday's posts were wonderful. Thank you SO much.
I appreciate y'all!

We are taking a short vacation next week.
Marissa goes back to school on the 10th.
I have been working on catch up stuff.
Hope to get the house cleaned before we leave on Sunday.
I'm doing some bookwork for both FR and for myself.
Seems I never catch up with that. :-(

I will try to get Daisy's graduation picture posted this evening.
We need to go to the P O and the bank today.

Wishing everyone a beautiful Thursday.

Hugs!

Went to the dr yesterday and he doubled my Gabapetin dosage. Didn’t do a thing for me today but hopefully things will improve.

I'm So Sorry this is Happening, Diver Dave, and will Keep you in my Prayers Everyday.
I have an Appointment with my Neurosurgeon (had a Microdiscectomy in '06) for Next Wednesday, to get his Advice, because my Back is Badly Re-Herniated.
I'm on the Med called Lyrica, Working the Dosage Up over the Coming Weeks.

(((((Will Keep you in my Caring Prayers)))))

Hi (((Kitty))). Are you still having wildfires in your area?

No, there are None Close to me, for which I'm So Thankful.
May Rain Fall upon all those Fires that are Burning, is my Prayer.

Thank you, (((((Aqua)))))
I Pray All is Well with you.

Megs, I loved your little hummingbird and poem this morning. I was in such a hurry and after I posted, I had to go in and out all day. First thing was to get the candy in the mail to my brother. I asked her what was the fastest way to send it and how much? Overnight was ONLY 21.65!! I said “Lady, its good candy but it’s not that good.” I sent it the next way and it was almost 6.00 and she said he might not get it until Monday. His birthday is Sunday. I will call him tomorrow and let him know. We talk almost every day but not today....I was too tired. I had other stuff to do. He knows I love him.
