Florence Henderson, the actress who played perky mom Carol Brady in the beloved family sitcom, says she once got crabs after a one-night-stand with career politician John Lindsay, who was the mayor of New York City at the time.
Henderson, now 77, recounts in her upcoming memoir that she was cheating on her husband during the 1960s, and gave in to her better judgment when her married and unattractive friend put the moves on her over drinks at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

My bet would be that if crabs entered into the story of Henderson and Lindsay, it was she who gave them to him.
I only saw her once in person,walking across the floor at a casino in las Vegas with two pretty boys in tow.She was twice their age.

I'm guessing here but the greater part of the Lindsay shots must have involved him in jogging togs running with a bunch of young women (a regular Mayor Marion Barry deal), followed by a group of large fluffy dogs and a small dachshund.
Envision him on a sail boat with a young woman (probably a cousin) holding two babies ~ and he's letting the boom loose to hit her ....... and you can go on and on and there are NO cloddish behavior pictures anywhere.
Florence Henderson gives us an insight into the real man ~ the jerk we always thought he must be outside those staged photos on the front of the NYTimes ~ passing around crabs!

I knew, from my childhood onwards, his Yale room mate, who was a close friend of my parents.
I lived in Manhattan before and during his terms as mayor.
There were many UNPOSED pictures of him in the N.Y. newspapers, all the time. And I most assuredly know the scandals and idiotic stuff about Lindsay, that went on once he went bonkers liberal....i.e. giving in to the Balck Panthers, partying with them and other despicable people, etc. !
