Many of the weed slaves say that they’re smarter, when they’re high. ;-)

How is it not entrapment for the police to sell you something, then arrest you for possessing it?

That’s a good question. Might make for a successful defense. After all, it’s not illegal to “wish” you had some pot or even to say so. A crime wasn’t committed until the cops provided the pot.

Yep, I can’t cite now but if I’m not mistaken there are no laws against buying. Only against possession, sale, manufacture and trafficking across jurisdictions. Had the cops not sold it to him, I doubt anyone else would be dumb enough to answer the ad and no crime would have been committed.

It’s completely mind-blowing to me that cops would waste resources trolling the web and doing undercover ops for a bag of grass. I recall one article where several cops went deep undercover for an entire year as school students to bust a few teenage weed dealers. All this while most murders remain unsolved and countless people are trafficked in this country as slaves.

Disgusting

It's not entrapment when you put out an ad in front of the world saying you want to buy it.

Yeah. I wonder why cops would hang out with dozens of young girls.

I guess there isn’t much crime in Glastonbury, CT, if the cops have time to set up a stupid sting like this. Of course the would-be buyer is dumb too, since he just needed to wait a few weeks until the new CT decriminalization bill becomes law.
