The United States presidential election of 2012 is the next United States presidential election, to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. It will be the 57th quadrennial presidential election in which presidential electors, who will actually elect the President and the Vice President of the United States on December 17, 2012, will be chosen. Barack Obama, who is eligible for a second and final term as President, has announced that he will seek nomination to be the Democratic Party's candidate in this election.
The 2012 presidential election will coincide with the United States Senate elections where 33 races will be occurring as well as the United States House of Representatives elections to elect the members for the 113th Congress. The election will also encompass eleven gubernatorial races as well as many state legislature races.
The 2010 Census changed the Electoral College vote apportionment for the Presidential elections from 2012 to 2020 in the following states. The candidates are: Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Herman Cain, Gary Johnson, Newt Gingrich, and more, against the incumbent President Barack Obama.

These polls are always amusing. Ron Paul lalalalalal, he will only win in the twilight zone.
Looks like the Paulestinians already bombed than one.
Wow!
Cain is in second place! If he does well in the debates and also gets higher name recognition, he just might pass Romney up.
This poll is somewhat close to the recent Gallup poll also, other than the fact that Cain and Paul were not so high.
Ron Paul is too old and a cartoon character on which voters project their hopes and dreams.
Mitt Romney — 7939 (25.82%)
Herman Cain — 7107 (23.12%)
Ron Paul — 8791 (28.59%)
Sarah Palin — 3976 (12.93%)
Gary Johnson — 1085 (3.53%)
Newt Gingrich — 124 (0.4%)
Michele Bachmann — 985 (3.2%)
Tim Pawlenty — 738 (2.4%)
WHy did they show Paul’s name in third, when his percentage is clearly in first?
I’d have a lot more respect for Paul if he would admit that he isn’t going to be president and found someone to support. He’d be far more effective that way.
“You gotta admit, the Paultards are a dedicated and well organized bunch of losers. Never before has such a small group of people made so much noise or made their presence so known. “
Just like Harold Camping!!!
Mitt Romney 7947 (25.8%)
Herman Cain 7119 (23.11%)
Ron Paul 8791 (28.54%)
Sarah Palin 4012 (13.03%)
Gary Johnson 1085 (3.52%)
Newt Gingrich 124 (0.4%)
Michele Bachmann 985 (3.2%)
Tim Pawlenty 738 (2.4%)
I voted for Sarah Palin.
He reminds me of Perot. He would rather his following and himself, fall on their swords and ruin our chances of winning back the white house, simply out of spite that he can never win.
I can see by your post that you were not in Madison WI when Mrs. Palin showed up!!!
Ron Paul is ahead? I’m guessing the pot-smoking Reeps who all attended Columbia and NYU are voting in droves today.
Ditto.
Same here. Guess Santorum is going to have a row to hoe to even get named in these things.
Thanks. Voted for Cain. Since Wrong Paul doesn’t count, I’d say that Herman is running neck and neck with Myth, with Sarah a close third.
That’s true, I don’t worship political candidates and I never let them rule my life. I have far better things to do. My father taught me a long time ago, in regards to politics; “Don’t fall until you see the whites of their lies!”.
I believe Dad had the right approach.
Polls are what they are, and if 'freeping' changes a poll, it will either never be used and/or was useless in the first place.
If you want Freepers to actually DO something ... let me give you my bank acct no. and ask Freepers to contribute to my cause ....
'Cause I ain't got no money.
After tonight's debates, I think Herman Cain will become an established candidate. Bachmann will also benefit if she performs well. We shall not project, and time will tell all that is true.
