MILWAUKEE Chaos on the school bus and the I-Team catches it all.
Our story starts with a fed up mom. She says her little girl who is only 4 years old is hit, tormented, has her glasses broken by other kids and that it happens all the time. She says MPS hasn't done anything about it so I-Team reporter Rob Koebel takes the case and wait till you see what your tax dollars are paying for now. A school bus ride that is out of control, little children in danger ride after ride. We follow the girls entire bus ride cameras rolling.
We spot bus number 83. On board -- a little 4 year-old girl. She goes to Frances Starms Early Childhood Center. But her mom says the littles girls first challenge every day is surviving her bus ride. Ms. Edwards says, Nothing has been done Ive called the school board and the principal. She claims this small child is being tortured daily, punched, hit by other kids, her glasses broken twice and the torment has been going on for months now.
She has come home with sores and bumps and even scars up under her neck from certain things being hit on her, Ms Edwards tells the I-Team Investigators.
The mom says she has begged the school to do something but is only told she needs to get the girl new glasses.

good point - - she’s allowing this to happen to her daughter. If it were me, I would ride on the bus myself with some close encounter weapons.
Yes: In the old days bus drivers had respect. Not that we didn’t cut up occasionially ,but when called down we listened or the busdriver wouls top and come back and stop the problem.
In my state all bus drivers have cell phones and all bus’s are equipped with Video Camera’s. If the kids do not behave drivers are told to pull over to the side and call police.Sit there until police arrive.
Just as predictable as any commercial for any product, or any TV sit-com: always shows the white guy(s) as the fools and the women/minority as the mature/cool/intelligent ones.
So, she keeps the glasses home where they will be safe, while sending her 4 year old out every single day to be smacked around?
Way to go, Mom.

You have that right!!! The white guy(s) are always made to look like idiots, ‘schooled’ by the black(s) or women/minority no matter what subject may be. Madison Ave. knows darn well who controls the purse strings in America’s households! The huge purchasing power block and feeling that minorities and women control and represent must not be made to look dumb/stupid/lazy/foolish/condescending etc.etc. by or in any advertisement. MA does not give one rip if old white guys like myself notice this or care, not one. They go with whatever ‘style’ works at any certain time frame. Right now is played the way it is ‘cause it is working/selling. A few years from now? Maybe reversed.
I am not sure why but Asians don’t get quite as much preference as Blacks and Hispanics. They do get a little bit but nothing like the others.
You can count on White males being always the ones portrayed as negative stereotypes and that is the only stereotype that is real yet that is the only group which is accused of stereotyping others.
I am currently watching an episode of “Smallville” and it is actually pretty good, at least the early years. Anyway, they just showed the Sheriff as a female, the psychiatrist as a Black female and the Dr. as a Black male. I mean Kansas professionals must be 90% Black, or at least female or Black.
Because she has continued to expose her 4-year-old child to abuse for months, while waiting for somebody else to do something about the situation. I would blame her if she let her child starve because the government didn't put food in front of her several times a day, too.
The fact that others are failing in their duties to a stranger's child does not excuse the mother's failure to do what is right for her own child.
And what are they to do if four or five kids decide to assault or even rape another student?
Agreed, it seems as though she does not even entertain the thought she could do anything but call the school and report it.
Things are so weird these days, we lived in a rural area, all the kids rode the bus. My little girl came home from kindergarten one day (she started at almost six - not four like this child), I met the bus, I worked nights and my husband worked days so I could stay home, she was a blessed surprise, came many years after her brothers. Weren't prepared financially.
Anyway, bus pulls into the drive, I meet her and her eyes are like saucers and she looks like she's about to cry. No words exchanged, my head jerked to the bus driver and he could see my "what happened!!" look on my face. He read correctly and stuck his head out the window and explained she'd gotten on the wrong bus and they radiod one another and met to put her on the correct bus but she had been frightened. That was 12 years ago, I can't believe how quickly life has changed. Even in that rural area, I would not have expected the same results. They went off route and met to put her on the correct bus, wouldn't happen today.
If somebody had hit my little girl, they'd have trouble keeping me off that bus to have a talk with anyone who would bully a little kid.
Bus driver should be fired.
