I would recommend complete panic. Make sure you send me all your money, you won’t be needing it anyway.
If something strange were going on they would be erupting downward, so as long as they erupt upward it is business as usual.
I wish it would erupt so we could get some global cooling here in Texas.

On a lighter note, and to the repudiation of the left, it also helps to debunk climate change caused by Homo Sapiens.
I don’t know about this specific geologic area, but there are known volcanic chains, such as in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.A., which are known to share a huge, interconnected underground pool of molten rock (magma). Mts. Rainier, Snt. Helens, and Adams are one such group.
As the molten lava erupts, the chamber below is emptied and causes the earth’s crust above to shift. I suspect that is what causes these earthquakes.
The description given is reminiscent of a tablet eruption, where a seam, or crack, in the earth’s crust opens up and molten rock flows like a thick sheet of plastic rather than a vocanic cone spewing forth magma. It is still an eruption though this type is more common on the seafloor, as the magma doesn’t have to erupt through a continental plate.
