Amazing how for every tragic young death there seems to be another story like this of someone who by all appearances has been trying to die young but failed.

I sure did enjoy hs “Winter In America” album.
Guy had a good voice.

Gil Scott Herron was actually a fairly gifted musician, but his radical leftist politics infected his work, and destroyed any chance he might have had at becoming a superstar recording artist.

I really enjoyed some of his stuff, back in the 70s.
